Firecracker Grilled Alaska Salmon

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2009
This was fantastic. I made a few minor changes - 1/2 the peppers (thanks to the reviewer who suggested, my lips were still quite warm), 1/2 the peanut oil to reduce fat, and 1/2 the soy sauce (used lower sodium) to reduce overall sodium. Baked since it's cold out and poured a small amount of the cooked marinade over rice, broccoli and cauliflower... Delicious meal!

Beer, Orzo and Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2009
I wasn't sure what to expect with this receipe. I followed exactly except for the pimentos (used red pepper instead). The first few bites were a bit of a surprise but I ended up wanting more when I finished. Needs to be cooked longer than directed - until the liquid reduces - and is delicious the next day.

Raspberry Vinegar Chicken Breasts

Way to much vinegar for what should be a creamy dish.

Eggplant -- Easy, Good and Tasty

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2009
I've given it 4 stars as the breading and tomato (I used canned Italian and no dressing) was tasty... just can't say that I will ever try eggplant again :(

Asian Salmon

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2009
I had my husband make the marinade while I was at work by telling him over the phone. Usually if he doesn't like the look or smell of something (sesame oil) he won't even try it... well... he tried this and told me to give it a 5. This will be served in my house over and over!

Broccoli Chicken Roli

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2009
I made this as a braid style - it turned out even tastier than it looked. My husband thought I went to a lot of work when actually, it took very little time at all thanks to the crescent rolls.

Very messy to make but when a craving hits, it sure beats the frozen variety!

These were very tasty but a pain to make. I would love to eat them again providing someone else does the work!

Taiwanese Pork Chops

This was fantastic. Didn't need to modify the ingredients (other than using boneless pork tenderloin). I highly recommend this with rice and sauteed veggies!

Chinese Roast Chicken with Gravy

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2009
I followed the advise of a reviewer and added the oil during cooking along with the chicken broth - turned out wonderfully. Very moist and the gravy was fantastic. I found it a little on the salty side even with reduced sodium soy sauce so next time I will use a little less and replace with a little more chicken broth.

Danish Meatballs with Dill Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2009
The meatballs were excellent. I cut the recipe in half for me and my husband and there were no leftovers!! I served the sauce on the side as my husband prefers the meatball naked and used ground beef in place of the veal. As mentioned by another reviewer, I just mixed the bread crumbs in with everything else to save time and would do it again.

Tuna Salad with Cranberries

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2009
This was tasty but failed to 'wow' me. The dill flavour was nice and the cranberries added a sweetness to the sandwich but I don't think that tuna requires a sweet flavour with it. I used less mayo as I prefer my tuna a litte more dry. I think I will try this with chopped turkey or chicken rather than tuna.

Chicken with Curry Dill Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2009
This is an excellent taste combination. I rated a 4 as I needed to increase the curry to 1 teaspoon and used 1 tablespoon of fresh dill (equates to 1 teaspoon dried dill weed) so it wasn't too bland. The dill gives the dish a wonderful subtle flavour. We will be having this again!

Chicken and Broccoli Braid

This was really good. Used 1/2 the mayo to cut a few calories and grams of fat and added a little extra broccoli. Will definately be making again.

Dilly Chicken and Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
I loved this!! Very easy to make - I used chicken breast and leftover boiled potatoes. We ate with rice which was a total overkill of starch haha, but good. I only gave a 4 because I found it too salty - next time I will omit but there will definately be a next time!

Tea Biscuits

Fantastic!! Followed the recipe as is and they turned out perfectly. The dough is rather sticky so instead of cutting dough into circles I just used a pizza cutter to cut it into squares.

Easiest Mushroom Sauce

This is the best mushroom sauce I've had, not to mention the easiest. It seems as though nothing is made from scratch, real ingredients, any longer... here is a recipe that is.
