Amazing Asian Chicken Salad

This was a tasty, colorful salad. Next time I will save more dressing to put on the salad. The chicken was delicious! Easy to put together.

Amish Breakfast Casserole

I followed the recipe exactly and did not like the final product. It was easy to put together but for my family it was too much swiss cheese and not enough egg. It could have used some more seasoning as well. I won't make it again.

Megan's Granola

I love this kind of granola - everything chopped small and it is crunchy. I wish I had known that it gets crunchier as it cools - I wouldn't have baked it for so long. I also would have added the dried fruit right after the granola came out of the oven so that the fruit stuck to the granola. I used dried cherries and they taste great.

quite a few ingredients and the texture is sort of chewy like lowfat stuff can be but it is tasty. I might add pineapple next time and maybe some nuts in it.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cake Cookies

my kids loved these cookies. It seemed a bit involved to make them but they have remained soft. They're more like brownies. My daughter ate a few with ice cream and a spoon. Will make again.

Quick Italian Vegetable Soup

this recipe was easy and tasty. I added garbanzo beans to it cuz my kids love beans. I also added cheese tortolini to make it more of a meal for my husband. All together it was delicious.

Beer Brisket

This recipe was so easy and the meat was delicious. I did sear the meat beforehand but otherwise I followed the recipe exactly. The meat was really flavorful and tender. I served it with garlic mashed potatoes and cooked carrots and it was a hit!

Consomme Pork Chops

The pork came out tender but my rice did not have enough liquid to cook entirely so some rice was a bit hard. I also added some ground sage which I like with pork. It reminded my husband of a dish his mom used to make so I'll make it again.

Creamy Mashed Potatoes

Not only were these potatoes easy but they were delicious! I couldn't find the exact sized potato package so I worked with what I could find but otherwise I followed the recipe exactly and the final product was soooo good! I fed it to my brothers and sisters and they said they could easily sit and eat the whole container. Rave reviews.

Gingerbread Cookies I

I followed the recipe exactly and ended up adding a bit more flour. The key is to refrigerate the dough to harden it. Tasty cookies. I added icing on top. Could add more seasoning for stronger flavor but not necessary. Will use again. I gave it a "4" star because cutouts are more difficult and I like gingerbread but it is not my favorite cookie flavor.

Raw Vegetable Salad

This was a delicious salad. I received many compliments. I did buy the pre-cooked bacon bits in a jar and added cashews. I also added balsamic vinegar instead of white because I love balsamic but it pinked up the color which I didn't like so next time I'll use white. Otherwise I followed the recipe and will definitely make again.

Day Before Mashed Potatoes

making "real" mashed potatoes is more complicated than boxed flakes so I gave this a 4-star for that, but everything else was simple and really tasty - I followed the recipe exactly. I will definitely make these again.

Classic Texas Caviar

i really like texas caviar but i only had balsamic vinegar so i used that and it was too strong. plus there was a lot of juice. i ate this as a side dish with a barbecue dinner and it wasn't as good as i remembered. i think eating it with tortilla chips would be a good accompinament. my kids thought the texture of the black-eyed peas was weird. i will try it again but with regular red wine vinegar.

Brisket with BBQ Sauce

This recipe sounded complicated at first but is actually really easy. I also cooked it in the crock pot per TLQUICK's directions. The meat really fell apart it was so tender. we served it on rolls as well and it was a hit. my 10 yr. old and my 7 yr. old did not like it but they're quite particular.
