Savory Rosemary Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2009
Made this as 4 servings in a smaller dish, 30 minutes was perfect. I had a sourdough baguette and some herbed goat cheese and it turned out gorgeous. Such a great idea! Thank you!

Suki's Spinach and Feta Pasta

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2008
We used real goat's milk feta for this. So much better than other feta I have tried in the past, but ymmv depending on whether you like goat cheese. Next time I'll experiment with a sprinkling of fresh herbs, but it was really perfect and delicious.

Flaky Dill Biscuits

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2008
It's such a treat to have fresh bread with dinner when you only have 30 minutes to make dinner. I used fresh chives and a little fresh thyme, I think they might not be as strongly flavored as dill, so next time I will try a bit more. We were so eager to try them straight out of the oven that I forgot to try my mother's herbal bread trick: sprinkle some fresh herbs on top as they come out of the oven and the steam releases the flavor.

Fruit with Yogurt Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2008
I made a few modifications because I wanted a dressing for a fruit salad to take to brunch and didn't have time to go to the store in the morning. I used a 6oz low fat sugar free peach yogurt with a bit of fat free sour cream to get it to the 8oz the recipe calls for. I also left out the cardamom because I was in a hurry. I liked how it tasted without adding the raisins, so I left them out just to keep it simple. Got many compliments on the dressing!

Fragrant and Healthy Carrot Cake

Minimum batter, maximum good stuff! I underbaked it quite a bit since I used a loaf pan, and made some cream cheese frosting (went very easy on the sugar) and it was fantastic. Thanks!

Moroccan Chicken

I agree, definitely double the spices. I used some pork to supplement the small amount of chicken i had, and that was very tasty. I also omitted the celery this time around.

Dilled Garlic

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2007
I personally don't care for them, but love the smell! I made a big jar of these for my Dad for Christmas, and he LOVES them! He has dubbed them "Dragon's Teeth" since they turned blueish overnight. (After a mild freak-out, we looked it up online and garlic naturally will turn blue or purple sometimes when exposed to acids.) I used a teaspoon of Emeril's Essence as well as about half a teaspoon of straight cayenne powder.

Billy's Favorite Gingerbread Spiced Coffee Syrup

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2006
I am no longer in Starbucks' Pumpkin Spice thrall! This is delicious, I used splenda instead of the white sugar (kept the honey), and even using mostly powdered ingredients, I was able to use the cheesecloth thicknesses to get it nicely filtered. 7 teaspoons is about how much I like in my cafe au lait. Next time I'll try to get the fresh, unpowdered ingredients, and also use less splenda.

Easy Cheese and Garlic Scones

Reviewed: May 24, 2005
This was my first experience with making scones, and they came out wonderfully! They were crispy on the outside and nice and springy on the inside, and they stole the show. Now I just have to figure out how to make them with whole wheat flour so we can have them more often.

My Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2005
Just the thing after a brisk walk in the winter! (Even in Florida!) Thanks, this really is simple and extremely tasty. We ate it with a little fresh cornbread and sour cream. It's a great base to start experimenting, too. My boyfriend added about 2 tsp of cocoa powder, which I think melded the flavors together even more.

Yummy! I give it the fifth star based on easy-to-get ingredients and simple preparation. Next time I'll serve it with some refried beans and some sour cream on top, I think. Thanks!

Everyone LOVES this recipe, and we playfully fight over who gets to bring it to Thanksgiving and take all the credit! I highly reccomend the cream cheese and cracker serving suggestion. We love it with Ritz crackers.
