I am a wife of 16-years and mother of 3 great kids, Max, Anna and Brenna!!! I work full-time during the day and also sell lia sophia jewelry at night and on weekends, which I absolutely love!!! Was born and raised and still reside in my hometown of Brillion, Wisconsin. Go Packers!!!!!!!!
My favorite things to cook
I love to try new recipes and sometimes my family enjoys them and other times not so much!! Have found some awesome recipes on this site. I mainly cook main dishes, though I love to eat dessert, but don't do much baking at home. My favorite things to cook are anything mexican and italian, though I love chinese, but don't make it very often.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We don't have any specific family traditions, but I always remember waking up on Thanksgiving morning and hearing my parents banging around in the kitchen preparing the Thanksgiving feast. My Mom always had Thanksgiving at our house and I just remember the anticipation of a great meal and great times with family.
My cooking triumphs
I don't know that I have had any triumphs necessarily, but anytime I try something new and my family enjoys it I consider that a triumph!!! They can be pretty finicky!!!
My cooking tragedies
Would have to be FUDGE!!! I tried making the really complicated method, but had no candy thermometer, so was trying the soft-ball method. At least I think that is what it was called. First time it was so runny, you had to pour it in a glass. Second time it hardened so hard that my husband had to throw the pan away because we couldn't get it out!!! Needless to say I now use the Marshmallow Fluff recipe.
