I've always loved to cook, but haven't always been good at it! If you ask my mom, she'd tell you I was so bad I couldn't even burn toast (yeah, that bad). But now, she requests my desserts whenever we have our get-togethers. I love trying new things and more often than not, they turn out well. I love many ethnic dishes, but being in rural Minnesota, have limited access to some ingredients (thank goodness for the internet!). Thai bubble tea, New England clam chowder, homemade chicken pot pie, chili, cookies, pies, cheesecake, flan, Chicken quesadillas (my own recipe!), fettuccine Alfredo, just about everything! Getting together to make holiday cookies. Making flan and having my sister tell me that it tasted just like the flan she had in Mexico. For whatever reason, I can't grill a good steak, they come out overdone (or not done at all!) and bland. My husband blames the grill...
