Soft Pretzels, Coconut Shrimp, Gumbo, Stir Fries, Roast Beef, Cookies/Muffins, Lasagna, etc.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Getting the girls involved in making simple things like cookies. Helps us to bond, and we have a lot of fun together.
My cooking triumphs
Being able to make recipes without looking at them, and also to be able to alter a recipe and have it come out tasting good.
My cooking tragedies
Frying chicken. I am determined to be able to get a really good fried chicken full of flavor and not burnt or undercooked.

Newport Clam Chowder
I can see how this recipe won! It was soooooo tasty. This is one of my seven year old daughter's favorite dinners. It gets requested quite a bit! Definitely the best, better than what you get in a can!

Fried Chicken with Creamy Gravy
In one word: AMAZING!!! The gravy was really flavorful and creamy. I followed the recipe, exactly as printed, and it turned out perfect. My husband couldn't stop talking about how delicious this was. I have had problems with the batter from other fried chicken recipes I have tried. This batter was excellent-it stuck very well to the chicken-it was crunchy-and it was full of flavor. The gravy was the icing on the cake! I served this dish with rice, and no one could resist topping it with the gravy. This is one of those dishes were I won't have to worry about any leftovers! Bravo, just excellent, a must try for any fried chicken lover!

Coconut Shrimp I
Wonderful recipe, tasted just like the coconut shrimp I first had five years ago in Florida. The batter sticks very well to the shrimp, and when fried right come out to be a beautiful brown color. Very crunchy and sweet at the same time. Delicious!
