About this Cook
Although my profile lists me as an "expert", I am certainly not one! People do love my cooking, though. I love to experiment with recipes and then share the wonderful results. When they're not-so-wonderful, I can always throw them out! I love to vacation in Maine when time allows, since that's where I grew up. I love keeping in touch with school and college friends online and the old-fashioned way - snail mail! My camera is one of my most-prized possessions, and scrapbooking is my thing after cooking and reading Christian fiction. Favorite authors: Angela Hunt, Tracie Peterson, Colleen Coble, Karen Kingsbury, Linda Nichols. Read their books! You can buy them super cheap on Amazon.com.
My favorite things to cook
Desserts, casseroles, muffins - new recipes I find on Martha Stewart! I love her "Everyday Food" magazine! It is real food, really good!
My favorite family cooking traditions
New England Style baked beans and brown bread...yum! My southern husband's family black-eyed peas and cornbread...
My cooking triumphs
Making themed cupcakes and birthday cakes for my kids, and making treat assortments for my husband to take to work on holidays.
My cooking tragedies
Substitutions don't always work out...I won't dwell on it!

BBQ Teriyaki Pork Kabobs
This is a great recipe for kabobs, especially for summertime when you can get fresh pineapple readily. I don't use tomatoes on my kabobs - just green pepper, onion, and pineapple along with the pork. Yummy. Make sure you add a little sesame oil for an added taste boost.

Angel Chicken Pasta
This recipe is GREAT - thanks for posting! I substitute chicken broth for the white wine when I make it - comes out wonderfully. Also, this dish can be made and served like spaghetti, instead of cooking it casserole style. Just prepare the sauce, pasta, and then brown the chicken breasts/tenders in a skillet. Delicious. I made it on vacation over the 4th, and the family loved it.
