Spicy Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2010
I followed the recipe exactly and had to add more Mayo than called for, about 2x's more. Especially like the Dijon mustard and hot sauce addition. Flavor was great. Will make again.

Sloppy Joes I

Reviewed: May 28, 2010
This is the ONLY Sloppy Joes my husband will eat AND it is the ONLY thing he can actually make. We have been married 52 years and it is a recipe he brought to our marriage :) The only thing he does differently is omit the water - otherwise it is just the same.

Ham, Potato, and Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2009
I cut the recipe to 4 servings. Had a ham shank bone left from Easter so I simmerd it in Chicken broth for an hour - then added the potatoes and onion and a couple stalks of celery. The soup very tasty. Served it with muffins and a salad.

One Bowl Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: May 25, 2008
This cake turned out perfect. I, with the help of All Recipes conversion, halfed the recipe and used a 9x9 cake pan. As I live at altitude I made the corrections, less sugar, less baking powder & soda and more liquid. I also subtituded boiling coffee for the water. I had some concern as the batter was very thin but it it baked perfectally. I frosted the cake with a chocolate butter frosting.

this is a family favorite. I made it just as the recipe suggested. I am going to try brown sugar next time.

Coconut Cream Pie VIII

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2007
This pie had a nice flavor although I could taste the flour. I will replace the flour with about 3T cornstarch when I make it again. I added the extra egg yolk to the egg mixture. I stired the hot milk and sugar into the egg mixture then returned it to the pan to cook. Also added coconut to the custard mixture.
