Spicy Slow Cooker Black Bean Soup

Cooking time was way off - needed 3-4 MORE hours in crock pot. It also required some sort of mashing - this step is not optional. When complete, it was spicy, but lacked any other real flavor.

Easy Chicken and Dumplings

Not quite what I expected. The mixture seemed a bit "brothy" and the dumplings didn't quite work. At first, there wasn't enough liquid to hold them together, so I put in more buttermilk and they ended up being weird doughballs. Still in search of a good recipe for this...

Not half bad - great to put in the freezer for emergency lunch, and substitutions are really easy. I'd suggest a bit of cillantro and hot sauce, though...

Apple Crisp I

Something went horribly horribly wrong with this recipie. The "crumble" part didn't crumble at all. Seems like it needed more butter or something... Also, I probably should've cubed the apples. Still debating if I should just throw the whole mess away, or if there's something I can do with it.

Roasted and Curried Butternut Squash Soup

Pretty good recipie for what it was. Think roasting vegetables was a great idea. I left out the brown sugar and still thought the soup was a bit sweet. Would've liked more curry or spicyness or something to add bite.

Awesome soup! Lots of cutting, chopping - pretty time consuming, but totally worth it. I halved the recipe and it worked out GREAT.
