Asparagus with Garlic and Onions

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2012
My new years resolution was to eat more vegetables, and I've made this recipe 3x this week! I did not make any changes at all, except for using Smart Balance in place of regular butter. This will definitely be a regular in my house from now on. The next time I make it, I might try a little parmesan cheese on top as well. Thanks for such an excellent recipe!

Tasty Lentil Tacos

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2012
These were wonderful! They've made "Meatless Mondays" a hit! I didn't change a thing, but I did serve them with Pico De Gallo. I might try making them with beef broth next time. Thanks for the great recipe! Update 1/23/2012 - Made with Beef Broth in place of the chicken broth and they were just as yummy :)

Garlic Aioli

Yummy! I added some sliced green onions because I love onions, but other than that, I made no changes. I served with Lori's Famous Crab Cakes. Thanks for the great recipe!

Mushroom Spinach Omelet

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2011
I am transitioning into the world of eggs (I don't like them!) - so I made this omelet with all egg whites. It was YUMMY! I did add some extra onion - I love them. Thanks for the wonderful recipe, maybe I'll be brave and try it with whole eggs really soon!

Carrabba's® Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2011
I am pretty sure that Carrabba's actual Chicken Marsala does not have any flour - so I took away a star for that alone. With that being said, this is actually a decent recipe. I used 2 chicken breasts with the sauce recipe, which was the perfect amount of sauce. I also increased the onion to 1/4 cup and the mushrooms to 1/2 cup. I will probably try this again, just grilling the chicken (the chicken from Carrabba's chicken marsala is GRILLED) and making the sauce on the side - and minus the flour. Thanks for the recipe! Updated 11/28 - made this with grilled chicken (using measurements above) and removed the flour. Tasted just like Carrabba's! Thanks again!

Honey Mustard Dressing

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2011
This is one of my favorite dressings on this site! The next time I will probably reduce the vinegar by half, I could taste it through the dressing. It wasn't overpowering, but I'd like it to be a little less vinegary. I also substituted agave nectar for the honey (trying to watch my sugar intake) and it worked just as well. Thanks for the great recipe!

Blue Cheese, Bacon and Chive Stuffed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2011
Pretty good! I used a combination of half blue cheese, and half italian blend cheese. I also seared the pork chops first before baking. Will make these again!

Ken's Texas Chili

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2011
I loved this recipe. It's different than tomato based chili recipes, but that's exactly why I liked it. I added a diced green bell pepper and a diced onion to the ground beef. Next time, I will probably reduce the oregano by half. I'll definitely make this one again. Thanks for the great recipe!

Wonderful. Light and delicious! I did use 2 teaspoons red wine vinegar and 2 teaspoons lemon juice (instead of only the lemon juice). Will definitely make this again!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

These did turn out a little cakey, IMO. I also reduced the chocolate chips to 1 1/2 cups and added 1/2 cup of chopped nuts. Thanks for the recipe!

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: May 18, 2011
These were absolutely wonderful. Will never use "pancake mix" again, especially since this was such a simple recipe and I had all ingredients on hand! I do think that this is a recipe for two - I halved the recipe and there was just enough for me (or maybe I'm just greedy). I did use splenda in place of the sugar, added a teaspoon of vanilla, and served with Strawberry Supreme Topping and whipped cream. Thanks for sharing!

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2011
This was really good. I added some sliced bell peppers and mushrooms to the sauce, and some chopped onions and a little milk (about 1/4 cup) to the meatballs. I also cooked the meatballs in the oven because I didn't have lean ground beef on hand. Will definitely make this one again. Thanks for the great recipe!

Oaxacan Tacos

These were YUMMY!!! I took the suggestion from another reviewer and marinated them in lime juice and house seasoning for about 20 minutes prior to cooking. Served them with Pico De Gallo and sour cream. I'll definitely be making these again!

Bacon Potato Omelet

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2011
I don't like eggs at all, and I must admit this was wonderful! Probably because it's all kinds of unhealthiness, but any-who....I didn't use a potato because I didn't have any in the house, so I'm sure it would be even more wonderful with a potato. I did add a half of a diced bell pepper. I sprinkled the eggs with house seasoning and topped the eggs with the cheese and bacon while they were still in the skillet, putting the top on and letting the cheese melt that way. The next time I decide to indulge for breakfast I'm sure I'll make this again. Thanks for the wonderful recipe!

Blonde Brownies I

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2011
I made these for a party...here it is a day later and I am still thinking about them! I doubled the recipe and cooked them in a 13 X 9 pan, sprayed with pam, and cooked for 40 min. Instead of spreading the chips on the top, I mixed in 1/2 nestle toll house dark chips and 1/2 ghiradelli milk chocolate chips and 1 cup walnuts. The next time I need to contribute to a party I will DEFINITELY make these again...and probably will have a little french vanilla ice cream to go with them! Thanks for such a wonderful recipe!

Pesto Cheesy Chicken Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2010
Don't let the simpleness of this recipe fool you. It's very tasty! I was a little lazy, so I didn't roll the chicken and pesto. Instead, I just sprayed the pan with Pam, placed the chicken in the pan (after sprinkling with a little house seasoning), and covered it with pesto and Italian blend cheese. Very yummy, I'll be making this again. Thanks for the great recipe!
