Good and flavorful! Can't get gorgonzola here so I used blue cheese.

LOVE this- a thousand stars!!! :) SO good, and easy, to boot! I made a half batch, and used Neufchatel. My fave part of Thanksgiving.

New Orleans Corn Bisque with Smoked Sausage

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2011
This was really good. It had great flavor and was hearty. I added the sausage (used turkey sausage) in with the onion after it had already softened. I used 1% milk and 2 cups of frozen corn. The whole fam liked this one. I will probably make it again.

Hot Fudge Sauce II

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2011
Just made this, as I realized I had one cup of light cream that was due... 2 days ago, lol. (It was still good though!) This is SO delicious! I probably would have never tried it otherwise, cause I have a go-to hot fudge recipe, but I'm glad I tried this- so good, rich, thick, flavorful. It's good either hot, or right outta the fridge!

These were great and simple to make. We had these with Roast beef and gravy (from the crockpot). Delicious!

Erica's Delicious Slow Cooker Beef Roast

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2011
This was great- so tender and delicious. I used Pacific Foods Natural Cream of Chicken soup, a pound of baby carrots, and added a few potatoes too. We ate this with peas and Quick and Easy Yorkshire Pudding, also from this site. This did not look like it'd make much gravy at first, but by the time we ate it, there was plenty. Cooked on High for 1.5 hours, then set the temp to Low and this was ready to eat in about 6 hours. (I used a meat thermometer to make sure).

Poppy Seed Chicken II

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2011
Loved this- used Pacific foods condensed soup (all natural and much better than the alternative), light sour cream, and I cut the butter amount in half. Still delish and very rich and SO GOOD!! Served with steamed brown rice.

Old-Fashioned Vanilla Pudding

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2011
We loved this. I increased the servings to 8 in order to use up 4 egg yolks(wanted to make Pavlova). Our fam of 5 still ate it all in one sitting. We had it warm with chopped milk chocolate on top. I used vanilla sugar and added the seeds from one vanilla bean. It seemed to take a long time to get thick enough, but I put my husband to work stirring. The whole fam loved this!

Chicken Tikka Masala

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2011
LOVE this- so good. I added some Garam Masala when I made it (over a year ago). I really need to make it again. The whole fam loved it too, even my young children. I decreased the cayenne to just a sprinkle. We had it with rice, fresh grilled naan bread, and asparagus.

Hot Fudge Pudding Cake III

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2011
This was delicious! Very easy too. Mine was perfect at 40 minutes, even though my oven cooks things very fast. I did not decrease the water- loved the amount of hot pudding/fudge this produced on the bottom. I added vanilla to the water (would have added it to the batter but I forgot). We had this with ice cream and it was gone in one sitting! My kids, my husband, and myself LOVED it! My mom made something just like this when I was little.

Lemon Pudding Cake I

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2011
I dont' know what went wrong here... but after just 30 minutes, the top was totally burnt and the bottom was runny, not pudding-like. I couldn't leave it in any longer though, because the top was already so burnt. I've been wanting to make this recipe for a long time, but put it off, because of all the mixing bowls I would have to use. I wish it would have worked out for me!

Molten Chocolate Cakes With Sugar-Coated Raspberries

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2011
These were so good! I've always wanted to make chocolate lava cakes and never have until now. The butter amount put me off for a while, but I decided to go for it today. I only had salted butter on hand so I omitted the salt. I fit all the batter into 6 ramekins because I didn't want leftover batter and it worked well. We skipped the raspberries (didn't have) and had vanilla ice cream instead. The kids were excited about the "lava" and everyone loved them!

Buttermilk Pancakes II

Great, yummy, and easy recipe. I scaled this down to 8 servings to use the 2 cups of buttermilk I had on hand and made these because my daughter had friends sleeping over. Everyone liked them. I added some pure vanilla extract.

Beef Cabbage Stew

Reviewed: May 16, 2011
I really liked this. My mom made this reipce at least once when I was in high school, and I liked it then. I had half of a small cabbage to use up, and some stew meat in the freezer, so this was perfect. I used one can of breef broth in place of the water/boullion, and threw everything into the crockpot all day after browning the meat. The cabbage cooked down nicely and the stew got thick. I did thicken a bit more with some flour/water, but it doesn't really need it. I did not need to add any salt to this recipe.

Mom's Turkey Sausage Patties

Reviewed: May 15, 2011
I love this recipe- and I also love the idea of it- yummy homemade turkey sausage with no nitrates, and you control the salt! I scaled the recipe down to 4 servings- using 1 lb of ground turkey, and only used 1/2 tsp. salt and it was perfect. It was also so easy. I made the patties the night before and then cooked them the next day.

Mango Lassi II

This was good, but the mangos made it taste incredibly chalky. At least the kids enjoyed. 4 stars because I know it is not the recipe's fault!

Slow Cooker Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2011
Loved this- SO good with the coconut milk! I used TJ's light coconut milk and it was fine- just separated a tiny bit from the sauce, but I was expecting that. I did not have tandoori masala and just used extra garam masala. I also added ground ginger. I had to add a bit more spices before we ate, as the slow cooker tends to mute their flavors. I added the yogurt right before serving so it would not curdle. Loved this!
