Recently had some changes in our family which were very welcome! Looking forward to the end of this year, its gone by fast and slow at the same time! I enjoy the holiday season with people giving into a more generous attitude, hearth and home, and good will to all... wish people didn't seem to forget it in July! :) My favorite things to cook are meals that create wonderful aromas while cooking - sweet, savory, spicy it doesn't matter. My passion is baking, lately I have been working to make light flaky pastry...any suggestions for what I can do next?? I love to make anything that has a memory - and in my house we have lots of stories! When there is silence at the table I know everyone is enjoying!! And when I'm asked to make a meal again - that's the biggest compliment My mother once told me as a child she had loved fried bread. I was about 11, armed with cooking oil and a loaf of white bread. I attempted to 'fry' the bread. Needless to say it wasn't what she was referring to....
