Excellent cake! Very moist with a tender crumb even though I used all purpose flour and 4 whole eggs rather than 8 yolks. My husband and I have been eating it unfrosted for breakfast the last couple of mornings and both of us have enjoyed it very much with our coffee. I'm not sure what went wrong for some of the others unless they got in a hurry and didn't cream the butter and sugar properly or add the eggs individually and beat well after each. Some folks don't understand how necessary that is. (It's all about chemistry!) Anyway, we love this cake!

This was absolutely delicious! I omittied the cilantro (didn't have and my family doesn't care for it) but made no other changes. I've made it twice and both times it was gobbled up. My college son is learning to cook and definitely wants to learn to make this casserole. Definitely a keeper!

I prepared this for the first time following Carrie's instructions (sounded much easier the instructions in the recipe)and served it for Easter dinner. Everyone raved about it and I absolutely loved it. I like to play with recipes but this one is wonderful as is. Needed no tweaking although I used roasted minced garlic from jar instead of powder (didn't have the powder). Absolutely delicious. This will definitely become a favorite side dish for family dinners.
