About this Cook
Married to my high school sweetheart for over 25 years now and going strong with four childeren, two girls 20 and 18 and two boys 13 and 11. My Beautiful wife Jeanne came to me with a full assortment of baking skills her mother and grandmother provided her with. Our first dinners were baked chicken parts, blackend, but not because of spices ;) followed by an extravagent layer cake!
My favorite things to cook
I am a meat and potatoes kinda guy. Roasts, Ribs, Steaks really get me going with all of the starches that make those meals great. I have really increased my successes since getting a digital thermometer. Two recipies we cannot do without came from this site: Greek Style Rib Eyes and Asian Lamb! Wonderful Stuff!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving must have Turnips! St. Patricks Day with Colcannon: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colcannon and Fourth of July with Burgers and Foot Longs
My cooking triumphs
Romantic Friday Evening Dinners are always a hit at home. The kids eat their favorites pizza, mac N Cheese, or a tv dinner earlier and then we make a dinner together and crack a bottle of wine, light a couple of candles. Inevitably the kids are coming to see what we made for dessert :)
My cooking tragedies
Too many to list!!!!!!! But we keep getting back on the horse!

Greek-Style Rib Eye Steaks
We made this dish last night with two Ribeyes grilled. It was fantastic! The rub was perfect and the lemon juice added just the right amount of tang. I am a cheese lover and over did it on the Feta and found myself searching for the great taste of the beef. I would advise that you use just a sprinkling of the cheese (as the recipe calls for). Thank you so much for sharing this, we will be making it again!

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms
Excellent and Easy! I only made one batch for a Christmas Eve party since I didn't know how many guests liked mushrooms. Too bad, they were all coming back for more!!!
