Wonderful recipe, thanks so much for sharing! I halved the recipe because I was only serving 4 people and there was still plenty of leftovers. I also halved the sugar and it was still a tad too sweet so next time, I'll omit entirely. I also didnt make the pita chips. Instead, I purchased a bag of Stacy's Pita Chips in Cinnamon Sugar flavor. Wheat thins also makes a cinnamon flavor

I rated this 2 stars because I followed the recipe "as is" the 1st time I made it. VERY bland! I again made it after following other reviewers recommendations (onion soup mix, salt, pepper, garlic, mushrooms and doubling the sauce) it was perfect!

Wonderful recipe!!! Perfect for leftovers too. Next time, I will add more ham and less potato.
