Ono Butter Mochi

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2009
"Ono" is right (Delicous)! It was my first time making this and it was sooo easy! It is much easier to work with than traditional mochi (chi-chi dan go). This recipe is perfect. Thank you for sharing.

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
This recipe is the bomb! The first time I prepared this I was pressed for time so I raised the heat to 425 degrees and baked the pork chops for 25 minutes, added the gravy mix and bake for another 20 minutes. It was delicous! The next night, due to requests for more, I followed the baking heat and times exactly as directed in the recipe and it was absolutely to bomb! The pork chops were so tender, I ate it with a spoon!

Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2008
This is the best Alfredo Sauce recipe I have ever tried and it is so easy! My kids, the pickiest eaters in the world, just love it!. Over the next few days after making it, we even ate the leftovers by zapping it in the micro over and it was still delicous. I wouldn't change a thing. Thank you for sharing.

Baked Scallops

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2008
Because scallops are expensive so I tried making it with broken scallops (about half off the regular price at my market). It was absolutly delicous and so easy to make! I've made this at 3 parties so far and each time it was a hit! Thank you for sharing!

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2008
These are the most delicous buffalo wings I have ever tasted. I made it with some really hot mexican sauce (since the brand was not specified in this recipe). It was really hot, but sooo delicous everybody kept eating it (with perspiration on their upper lips and all!)! This is a must for parties. Thank you for sharing!

Mexican Rice II

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2008
This is so easy and so delicous. I also made the recipe called Tortilla Chicken Vegetable Soup (omitted the white rice in the soup recipe) and added this Mexican Rice II to the soup as we ate it. I served it on the side with some cheese quesedillas. What a feast! Thank you for sharing!

Tortilla Chicken Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2008
This is the best chicken soup I have ever tasted. The first time I followed the recipe to it's exact. It was perfect. My children wanted it like it is served at this Mexican restaurant we go to, so instead of adding white rice, I made the recipe called Mexican Rice II. I made the soup without any rice and added the Mexican Rice II to the soup as we ate it. My children really liked it this way, but I the rest of the family (all the adults) liked it with the white rice. It's awesome with cheese quesedillas! Thank you for sharing!

Rock Salt Encrusted Prime Rib

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2008
This was the most awesomely delicous prime rib I have ever tasted and what is even more thrilling is the fact that I was able to make it! The only different thing I did was instead of a 20 lb Prime roast I uses a 5.5 lb prime roast. Instead of cutting the ingredients by 1/4, I cut it by 1/2 so that it would be really tasty and also so that I would have a little more of the rock salt dough that was required (since it was the first time I did this). I'm glad I did that because it can be messy and I took the suggestion of using plastic baggy gloves, which really helped. I ended up using all the rock salt dough and it came out beautiful! I am no longer afraid to purchase this expensive roast for fear of serving a mediocre dish. Thank you so much for sharing this easy and wonderful recipe!

Candied Yams

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2008
WONDERFULLY DELICOUS! The only thing I did different was instead of using canned yams, I used fresh yams wrapped in foil and baked while I cooked my turkey. When they were ready I cut them into thick slices and followed the rest of the recipe. Thank you for sharing!

Pickled Eggs II

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2007
The was really easy to make and delicious! I used canned quail eggs instead if regular eggs (I bought them in Chinatown) they taste the same as hard boiled eggs but are tiny. I made several jarfuls for my family members and couldn't keep up with the requests for more! They make great exotic deli gifts. Thank you for sharing!

T Bird's Beef Jerky

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2007
What a great recipe! I used london broil and had the butcher slice the beef thin lengthwise and followed all the instructions. When done I took the beef out of the oven and placed it in my dehydrator for an extra 4 to 5 hours. I even tried teriyaki style using teriyaki sauce instead of shoyu (leaving out the Worcestershire sauce) and used more pepper, onion powder and hot sauce and it was also a hit! Thank you for sharing!

Slow Cooker Chili II

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2006
I couldn't find cannelini beans so I replaced it with one more can of kidney beans. I didn't have hot pepper sauce so use chili pepper oil instead. Other than that I followed your recipe exactly as shown and all I can say is, "WOW!" My family loved it and even I loved it and I am not a big chilli eater...until now! Very easy to make and great on the budget!

Kalua Pig in a Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2002
Wow! My family thought it tasted better than the real imu cooked pig we ate at a luau last week. I followed the recipe ingredients measurements on a 3lb boneless pork butt and cooked it for 10 hours. After shredding the meat, I put the meat back into the fat oil still in the crockpot, still on at low heat and added another half tablespoon of liquid smoke. I let it sit for about 15 minutes and it was soooo "ono" (mmmmgoood)! Mahalo!
