As a young, single, working woman I don't cook often for myself, but when I do, it is simply for the joy of creating something wonderful. But, I am limited as to what I can cook, without ending up eating the same thing for a couple of weeks... I love baking... I have been rather successful with cheesecakes so far, and I always love taking cookie recipes and modifying to my own personal preferences. Sugar cookies at Christmas are an annual tradition - usually my mom makes the dough, and my brother and I get real fancy with the decorating! I have made a few special dinners for my college friends, including a holiday ham dinner last year. I tried to make Cheddar scones, but they were completely the wrong texture (way too sticky), and I ended up throwing them out before even getting to the point of baking them!
