Butterscotch Bread Pudding

This was my first ever time making bread pudding. I used Texas toast and wasn't sure whether or not to tear off the crust, but did anyway. It turned out wonderful. I topped it with fresh whipped cream. Mmmmmmmm.........

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

These were pretty good. I wasn't crazy for them and this recipe won't be something I make again. I'm more of a fan of the crisp cookie, and this was too soft for me. But the name does says CHEWY, so I should have known!

Creamy Blueberry Pie

This is now one of my favorite pies ever! My boyfriend says that this is the best blueberry pie he's ever eaten. I am definitly going to be making this again and again. Also, this is SO super easy. Use fresh blueberries. YUM!!

Mexican Corn on the Cob (Elote)

Love this! I do what another reviewer suggested and mix the mayo with lime and in a seperate bowl mix the cheese with chili powder, cumin and red pepper. then coat the corn after the mayo stuff has been rubbed on. I've also used the crumbly queso fresco cheese once when I could not find cojita cheese, which was even better I thought. Because it's a little messy, I cut the kernals off the cob and into a bowl and eat it that way. YUM!

Meat Loaf Pie

This was really good. I have made it a couple of times and always follow the recipe exactly. I make the mashed potatoes from scratch but buy the refridgerated pie crust, so it's a pretty easy meal and goes well with a salad.

Cuban Ropa Vieja

This was SO good. Made the rich mexican corn recipe from this site and had this on homeade tortillas with quacomole and pico and we actually put the corn on the tacos and with this meat it was SOOOO good. My boyfriend even said that this was the best mexican meal he had ever had.

Salsa Chicken

This isn't one of those recipes that I'm going to go brag to everyone about. Like it isn't to die for or anything, but it is really good and for the simplicity of it, I'm giving it 5 stars! I made mexican rice (recipe is on this website) with this and it was a wonderful meal. :-) Update!! I made this again and for some reason was really dissapointed. I think the first time I made this I must have been in a hurry and hungry and was just grateful this wasn't gross. Second time around I didn't want to make this again! :-(

I have had this recipe in my recipe box for 4 years!!! I finally made it and am so glad I did. It was scrumptious! However, I didn't have sherry so I used white wine and it turned out great. Served this over pasta. YUM!

Bodacious Broccoli Salad

I thought this had WAY too many onions and cheese, and the sauce was kind of bitter to me (due to the ammount of vinegar). I had normal sized broccoli heads, so I don't think I used too little, this just wasn't something that I liked. Sounded wonderful. :-(

Apple Dumplings with Rich Cinnamon Sauce

This was really good, but it was a lot of work and the end result didn't WOW me like I would have hoped for the effort. Don't get me wrong, it was yummy, but if I'm going to make such a mess for a recipe, my expectations get WAY up there, and this just didn't make me wanna get up and dance or anything!

Broccoli, Rice, Cheese, and Chicken Casserole

My boyfriend and I LOVED this recipe. Changed a few things, I used fresh broccoli (steamed before adding) and cooked my own chicken breast and I didn't use instant rice. Besides that, I followed the recipe and it was yummy chicken, broccoli, cheese goodness! :-) Update: I'm taking away a star because the 2nd time I made this I didn't really like it that much! Not sure why that happens - maybe I was just really hungry the 1st time. :-(

Sausage Egg Casserole
