Loved this banana bread. I did something naughty and added an entire bag of Reese's mini peanut butter cups (8 oz.). I had read about someone doing it on a blog and I thought it sounded like a delicious idea - and it was!! ;-)

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Made these to give away during the holidays. I didn't change anything except I left out the nuts. My cookies turned out really soft and more cakey than I prefer. I like cookies chewy / crunchy if that makes sense! The flavor is good but the texture is not my thing!

Mexican Style Shredded Pork

I wanted to love this, but like others was disappointed with the lack of flavor. Added more chipolte sauce and that helped(used Cholula brand chipolte sauce). Not worth the money I spent on the pork loin to make again. :-(

Juicy Roasted Chicken

YUMMY!! So easy and juicy. I did use garlic powder instead of onion and stuffed some garlic cloves and butter under the skin. I also added a few slices of lemon in the cavity along with the butter and celery. Will make again.

Four Cheese Margherita Pizza

I made this with Jay's Signature Pizza Crust from this site and it was excellent! I only made one crust - but used all the ingredients as the pizza crust from the recipe was really big. SO GOOD - I didn't change anything (besides crust). Would make again and again.

Caramel Popcorn

OMG! This stuff is so addictive! Way better than any caramel corn I've purchased. And really easy. I made my own popcorn. I figured out that 10 Tbsp. unpopped kernels = 5 quarts popped corn. Which is 1/2 C. + 2 Tbsp of kernels and used 3 tbsp. oil to pop corn in - perfect! I honestly made this for the first time yesterday - and just made another batch as I ate so much that my kids and husband would have only had a small handful each when they got home! ALSO.... I did as someone else suggested and made in 1 large roasting pan (an aluminum disposable one) and this fit the popcorn perfectly and was big enough to stir popcorn without a problem (cleaned and used it again - this will probably be my "popcorn pan"). ;-)

Brie Cheese Appetizer

So good, so easy and so impressive! I made exactly as stated, only used a bit more preserves (used Bonne Maman - yum). I also added slivered almonds to the top and sides - just brushed on along with the egg whites with pastry brush. Super yummy. I served with crackers and apples. Next time I will skip the crackers as this was best with apples in my opinion.

Strawberry Dream Cake I

I was so excited to make this, but the final result wasn't what I was hoping for. It didn't wow me AT ALL. The frosting was thin and didn't hold up well, even after chilling the whipping cream / chocolate and whipping afterwards. I baked for 30 min. and didn't have trouble with it not setting. This cake wasn't worth the effort it took to make in my opinion. Update!! I reviewed with 2 stars, but am going to up it to 4 because seriously, I couldn't quit eating this cake. It really was pretty good! I would put more strawberries on the top next time, as the bites with stawberries were my favorite! I might make this again, but try a different frosting.

German Apple Cake I

I had never had German Apple Cake before. Oh. My. Goodness. I think my diet is in serious jeopardy because I kind of love this cake. Made exactly as stated except added about a cup more of apples and sliced thin rather than diced the apples. I did make one mistake - I made in a bundt pan instead of a 9x13 pan. The crust that I read about in some of the reviews was to die for and because I had to turn out my cake, it didn't stay all crunchy and crusty and wonderful like it would have had I made it in the 9x13 pan. I just dusted with powdered sugar, which is all I think it needs. Heavenly.
