I'm a mom of 2 young children. I work full time as an RN on a women's floor. I love to cook for my co-workers and they certainly don't mind! I can always count on Allrecipes for great recipes and ideas! In fact, Chili I is one of my co-workers' favorite recipes!!

I love to cook anything considered 'country,' 'southern,' or even (per some of my African American friends) 'soul food.'
My favorite family cooking traditions
At Thanksgiving, among the staple turkey and dressing, our family MUST have chicken and dumplings. On Christmas Eve, we have my Dad's famous brisket (served alongside our family's vinegar-based BBQ sauce), a MOST delicious potato casserole and my Mom's garlic pinto beans.
My cooking triumphs
I've learned the secret to good BBQ. I've got great meat loaf, potato casserole and potato salad recipes. I can cook a really good roast with a savory gravy. Allrecipes gave me really good chili and beef stew recipes. Oh yeah, I've not come across a better guacamole recipe than our family's.
My cooking tragedies
Too numerous to mention. I'm one of those trial and error cooks!!
