Besides cooking and baking, I love to golf. We go south for the winter where we have met many new friends. I love being away from the cold and the snow in the winter. I love to bake, especially cookies and bars. Other favorites are pasta dishes. don't know I used to make a cookie bar that was the hit of every gathering I brought them to. It called for a layer of caramel pecan canned frosting and now I can not find it anymore and I haven't found a suitable substitute. I'm sure I've had many but right now I can't think of any other than when cooking meat, sometimes I overcook it.
