About this Cook
I have been married for 10 years and the mom of two. I work full time, but if I didn't I would cook full time. I love trying new recipes and challenging myself.
My favorite things to cook
There is not a single thing that I do not like to cook. I even love to bake, but it's not my strength
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love the big family meal on holidays.
My cooking triumphs
I once cooked a meal for over 50 people for my mom's 50th birthday party. It took two days of prep, but the food was amazing and everyone wanted my recipes. Nothing make a cook feel better than when a recipe is requested.
My cooking tragedies
When my husband and I were first married he said Key Lime Pie was his favorite, I found a simple recipe, but thought there was something wrong because it was not green. I added way too much food coloring. I had never seen or tasted a key lime pie before. My husband came home and was shocked at what I was so proud to call a Key Lime Pie. I have not made one since

Bacon-Wrapped Asparagus
Yummy! I did cook this in the oven at 400° for 25 minutes. I finished it under the broiler for 3 minutes to get a nice crisp on the bacon. This was a hit!

Southwestern Pasta Salad
I made this recipe for a potluck it's super simple to make and it's nice to have a pasta dish that does not have mayo. I did make some changes. I halved the spices only because it was for a potluck. I also added a ton more lime juice so much so that I lost count of the amount. It had great flavor, I recommend serving it with a wedge of lime, so that it gives each person a "pop" of flavor that everyone loved. There were no leftovers to bring home
