This recipe is good for the very bland palette. I will make again but will add more spice. Thank you for the recipe

Sweet Potato Casserole VI

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2009
I made this for Thanks giving Dinner to bring as a side dish for our get together. My husband does not like sweet potatoes but he liked this dish, so did everyone else. I did not really care for the topping but the potatoes were wonderful. I followed some suggestions form a few viewers and I only used 1/3 of a cup of sugar and I baked the potatoes instead of boiling. I really think that made the potatoes so creamy. I will make this dish again with out the pecan topping.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2008
These were very good. All I had was 2/3 cup of brown sugar so I added 1/3 cup of malasses. It gave the cookies that old fashioned flavour. I never added nuts I had none in the pantry. This recipe with molasses is a new additon to my recipe book.

Strawberry Trifle

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2008
This recipe was very good. I don't have a trifle bowl so I used my punch bowl. It holds 16 cups. So I used 2-103g packages of vanilla pudding and 2-1Litre packages of fruit and also 2 1-litre tubs of whipped topping. This filled the bowl to the top. I kept out some berries to garnish the top.

These were very good. I added paprika and a little cyanine pepper for a little kick. These have become a favourite of my family.

Firecracker Grilled Alaska Salmon

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2006
Very good, the whole family liked it. I used fresh wild Sockeye Salmon steaks. I live on the West Coast so fresh salmon is plentiful. I never had Balsamic vinegar so I used Apple Cider vinegar. I also did not have ginger so I left it out, and I used Canola oil instead of peanut oil. We have algeries in the family so I never keep peanut oil in the house. Next time I will use Balsamic and then maybe red wine vinegar. I am sure all will taste as good. :)

The meat was very good. I just think the sauce was way to sweet. We used sour cream instead. Will make the meat again though.

Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2005
I had some boneless chicken thighs in the fridge and used this recipe for them instead of using breasts. I also used sour cream instead of mayo cause I did not have any. It was very good and I will make again. My kids loved it as well as the hubby. I found that I had to drain it a couple of times though because of all the fat from the bacon.

French Onion Soup V

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2004
My husband and I went out to dinner with our girls a week or so ago. We had onion soup and I then found out my girls liked it. So I came here looking for a recipe for the soup. I tried this one and it was even better than the one at the restaurant. We will be making this again and again.... Well it's about a year since I wrote the above and we still enjoy this recipe at least once a week. My girls don't even like the restarunt onion soup anymore

Impossible Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2002
My family and I really liked this pie. The crust is very thin and the filling is just right. It was very easy to make. I used pumpkin pie spice instead of the other spices and it tasted very good. I will definitely make this pie again and again thank you Betsy for sharing this recipe with allrecipes.com
