About this Cook
I started cooking when I moved out of the house when I was 19. My boyfriend (now husband) taught me how to make spagetti sauce because I when I made spagetti sauce I just added ground beef to a canned sauce. He couldn't believe it. So from that day to this I try new ideas and tweek recipes I view to what tastes I like.
My favorite things to cook
I love, love to cook stews and soups they are comfort food to me. I also love to try new recipes for my family I read here at allrecipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We don't really have any my mom didn't like me in the kitchen when I lived at home. I guess that is why I never learned to cook till I moved out.
My cooking triumphs
Whenever I make a soup it is awsome.
My cooking tragedies

Mom's Zucchini Bread
Very heavy like a pound cake. My daughter forgot to put the sugar in the recipe so we cut it up and used it for french toast. Very good

Mom's Chicken Cacciatore
This recipe is good for the very bland palette. I will make again but will add more spice. Thank you for the recipe

Sweet Potato Casserole VI
I made this for Thanks giving Dinner to bring as a side dish for our get together. My husband does not like sweet potatoes but he liked this dish, so did everyone else. I did not really care for the topping but the potatoes were wonderful. I followed some suggestions form a few viewers and I only used 1/3 of a cup of sugar and I baked the potatoes instead of boiling. I really think that made the potatoes so creamy. I will make this dish again with out the pecan topping.
