About this Cook
I have been cooking since I was in my early teens. There aren't really any recipes that I think seem too hard to tackle (at least once!). Even though both my husband and I work full time, we make sure we have a home-cooked dinner every day. So we cook a lot, which is cheaper and healthier (since we are cooking it, we can alter the recipe to be healthier if necessary). I love allrecipes because I can find lots of recipes to try out, and I probably try a new recipe on average of once a week.
My favorite things to cook
Italian food!

Onion Rings
To be quite honest, I was worried these onion rings would not taste right using pancake batter, but as I had it on hand I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did because they were great! We used standard yellow onions. These onion rings tasted just like something you would order from a restaurant. They cooked very quickly too--about 65 seconds and they were done. This one is definitely a keeper.

Asian Coconut Rice
I made this rice as directed and didn't find it to be very good. Unlike some of the other reviewers who said this was too sweet, I found it to be somewhat bland. I was trying to eat this as dish by itself, but I really think it would work better with a spicy dish served with it. As far as the recipe goes, I had no problems with the rice not cooking in the right amount of time or being too sticky, etc, but I don't know that I would make it again.

Pork Tenderloin with Dijon Marsala Sauce
I made this for my husband's birthday dinner, and it got rave reviews from everyone, including the inlaws and the kids. There were no leftovers, as several people went back for seconds. This is definitely a keeper, and I will make it again.
