There really is nothing like a warm bread bowl full of chili. Weather it's beef, turkey, chicken, veggie, bean loaded, or made with buffalo meat (which is what I used today), it probably is one of the most versatile foods out there. It's dirt cheap to make if you need to stretch the dollar, who… MORE

About this Cook

My favorite things to cook
My favorite quick thing is tacos. While I personally don't care for Italian food at all, it seems to be the best thing I can cook. I also enjoy doing stir-frys. Mmmm...stir-fry.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Monday dinners. We truly value our lazy Sunday's in this house and enjoy doing nothing but snacking that day. So we turn Monday into our big meal day.
My cooking triumphs
I have one in mind, though I have not tried it in awhile. Try back to see if I reveal the mystery! (Nope still haven't)
My cooking tragedies
Oh....I tried to make a homemade spaghetti sauce. We won't go down this road...

Korean Marinade
This marinade was great. I used it on a 1lb pork tenderloin. I was only going to use it for a 24hr marinade, but plans changed, so it was 48hrs. I had to use minced onion as I was out of scallions. I also added a teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce to it as well. Was absolutely fabulous. The next time I use this I will be using chicken and following it to a "T". This is just a great marinade.

Pot Stickers Traditional
I did not like how this turned out at all. I followed the recipe, but over all the flavor just wasn't there for me. I've had much better frozen ones (and for the amount of time and the cost it took to make these, I would rather spend my money on the frozen). I think it was the wonton wrappers that did it for me. I found the texture to be very different to what I'm use to. After trying this recipe, I was turned off to pot stickers for a few months.

Corn Chowder with Sausage
I was not fond of this recipe. I don't think it has anything to do with the recipe itself, in my house we found that the flavor was very bland and it took longer than expected. Plus, we also gathered, that while we love corn, we don't like it mixed in with our food. It needs to be on it's own supporting side dish roll.
