Creamy Swiss Chicken Casserole

This was very good, even my kids ate it! I used a small amount of Worcestershire sauce on the chicken before cooking. I used Monterey Jack cheese instead of Swiss and I added fresh, thyme, rosemary and oregano for spices. I thought next time I might add more mushrooms, there weren't enought of them in there and a sprinkle of garlic. I didn't need to add salt or pepper after that, it was perfect! Thanks for sharing.

Jo's Rosemary Bread

This bread is my new favorite! I made it two nights in a row, sent half home with my mother who makes her own bread. I used a little more than a T. fresh rosemary, but I really like the taste of it. Thanks for sharing!

Steakhouse Wheat Bread for the Bread Machine

Ok, I tried this bread as posted yesterday and it never rose, it was just a lump that I threw in the trash. Today I made it again with a few changes, as suggested and it is wonderful. First of all, I cut back on the water by about 2 Tbs., and upped the honey by about 2 Tbs. and added 1 Tbs. molasses. Because I used salted butter, I left the salt out completely, since it reacts with the yeast. I also added 1 1/4 cups white and wheat flour so it wouldn't be so wet. The last thing I did was added 2 full tsps. yeast, room temp. We could hardly wait for it to cool just a bit, but when we did, we put butter and honey on it and is excellent!

Best Tuna Casserole

This was good, but I didn't like the onions or that it was dry. The onions didn't get done in the time it cooked. I did add 1 cup milk and about 3/4 cup sour cream, but it was not enough. The taste was good and it made plenty.

Did not go over well with the family. I doubled the recipe as suggested, so that we would have plenty of sauce, but it was very rich. Maybe more sugar would be better. I will not make this again.

Baked Ziti I

This was really good! I did a couple of changes as suggested: I added the cooked noodles to the sauce the last 5 minutes of simmering and I also used a 15 oz container of Riccota. I also added about 3 cups of Mozzarella on top. I had a small amount left that I cooked up and will freeze for future use.

Calico Beans

I thought this was great when I first put it togetjer, but I didn't like it as well after putting it in the crock pot for 6 hours, as suggested. I also added the cup of ketchup and tablespoon of molassas. I served it over rice, but there just wasn't as much flavor as I expected. I may work with it a bit if I make it again.

Hamburgers and Ketchup Gravy

This was very good, but the kids did not like it. I added 1 T Liquid Smoke to the hambuger mix before cooking and 1 T Worchester sauce to the ketchup and water mix before simmering. Made it very rich, but delicious!
