About this Cook
College Student cooking on a budget, and still managing to find ways to make things delicious.
My favorite things to cook
Lasagna always seems to be a favorite at dinner parties, making it one of my favorites to cook.
My favorite family cooking traditions
The rule in my house always seemed to be "always be willing to experiment with your recipes".
My cooking triumphs
Got a new recipe for caramel popcorn bud I didn't have time to do the full recipe's instructions. The adjustment worked amazingly and now my family always asks for it to be made that way.
My cooking tragedies
I've forgotten to add a key ingredient in my recipe before... ending in epic failure. We got takeout that night instead.

Cashew Crusted Chicken
This is a staple in my family. It's an incredibly mild sweet curry that's fantastic with brown rice - or white rice if you prefer.

Caramel Popcorn
I love this recipe, but I've always changed it a bit and haven't put it in the oven. Instead, around the time the caramel starts to boil, I begin popping the popcorn in the air popper. Once the caramel has boiled for it's 4 minutes, I take it off the heat and add the baking soda and vanilla. After stirring it, I place it back on the heat until the caramel has gotten a bit fluffy. Then I pour it onto the popcorn, and stir it all in.
