Only thing I did different was added one packet Beefy onion soup mix bc I had no onion. perhaps that was the reason for the taste, but still could not see this improving THAT much with just an onion added. (and i added celery, shredded carrots, basil, and oregano as others suggested)

all i can say is WOW! i was very skeptical to put mozz on raw chicken but how fantasic it was to have metly cheese hiding under the stuffing top! made this for company with spaghetti and a quick marinara sauce on the side next to some steamed broccoli florets. everyone loved it!

We wanted to prep the night before, so to the crock pot bowl, we added diced russet potatoes, a sliced bunch of leeks, and broth to cover completely (along with the evaporated milk that was mistakelny added). Refrigerated it covered overnight (read that this was ok to do) and next morning set it in the base and cooked it for 9 hours on low (added 1 hour to compensate for the refrigeration) We came home from work and it was inedible. The potatoes were firm and did not soften even after simmering on the stovetop for quite some time?! wierd!! I'm giving it afour so as to not taint its results bc i am sure it was something that i did since others did not have this problem.
