About this Cook
My name is Mollie and I'm married to one of the worlds pickiest eaters! When my husband and I first married, I would get so frustrated because he wouldn't try any new foods. Slowly I have convinced him to try more dishes and he loves them all for the most part. I have an 18 year old son who is a pretty good cook himself. I always thought I was a decent cook until I became a stay at home mom and started watching all the cooking shows. I had so much to learn! But now I love to cook and can whip up pretty much anything. I love Allrecipes.com; It's the best site for great new dishes and great tips!
My favorite things to cook
I recently discovered that I love to bake cakes. I also love to make Italian dishes and enjoy them with a new wine. My families favorite dish that I make is Chicken Picatta.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Family potluck get togethers are always fun.
My cooking triumphs
Italian creme cake.
My cooking tragedies
I tried to make a dish I had made in 8th grade called "Molly's Pizza Sandwich". It involved ground beef and bisquick. My mom actually found the old recipe and I expected it to taste as good as when I was 13. It was awful. The crust was underdone and it had no flavor. Oh well!

Exquisite Pizza Sauce
This sauce was wonderful. I used brown sugar instead of honey and I did not add anchovy paste as I didn't have any on hand. My husbands pizza was almost perfect but the sauce just wasn't quite right. This was the recipe we needed to make it the perfect pizza.

Special Irish Beef Stew
I didn't have time to brown the beef so I just put it in a crock pot and tossed with flour, salt, and pepper. I used Killians Red Beer which isn't as strong. I added all the remaining ingredients and cooked on high for 4 hours. It turned out really tasty and was even better the second day.

Sauteed Mushrooms in Garlic
This was simple and tasty. My son wanted sauteed mushrooms and had tried making some on his own, causing the smoke detector to go off in our kitchen. I pulled this recipe up for him to try so he could learn to saute. He really liked it. We ate them with spaghetti and meat sauce.
