About this Cook
I'm married, two kids. I am a stylist but have always had the dream of going to cooking school and having my own place. My kids ages 16 and 19, love to get in the kitchen and mess around or create meals. It's one of the places we have complete harmony!
My favorite things to cook
I like to do a lot of cooking and baking on my off days. My kids take after their dad and have a sweet tooth, and I love to share with the girls at work. I like to use tons of fresh fruit and veggies in most of my meals. I really like to pair fruit with different meats.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Any holiday meal that includes family and friends. Most people look at it as a chore, I think it's an honor. My Mom was raised in Kentucky so I grew up on southern foods, I try to keep it a little more healthy for my family but I still love to use some of her recipes as a treat now and then! :)
My cooking triumphs
I don't know, I'm pretty happy with everything.
My cooking tragedies
Hmmm. I can think of a few different under cooked or burnt dishes over the years. :) My poor husband was a Saint in the early years of marriage.

Juicy Roasted Chicken
This was very good and so simple! The juiciest roasted chicken I have ever made. Thank you! I used the left over chicken and the celery to make soup with the next day, great soup too!!!

Slow Cooker Chicken with Mushroom Wine Sauce
This was good, my husband loved it. I did use some chopped carrots in it to give it color. O was a little bland but next time I will use a little more seasoning. Thanks!
