About this Cook
I grew up in a Polish family, learned how to make all the traditional polish foods. Then married an italian,,,,,,,, wow what a turnabout. My family had no recipes, it was all watch me. lol So I made a few of my own but I realized I did the same thing, a pinch of this and that. Now I love making recipes me.
My favorite things to cook
golembki, stuffed peppers, borscht, homemade chicken fingers (a big hit with the kids) , hamburger goulash, my half ham is awesome !!!!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
my grandmothers stuffing, and apple pit is the best. I got the apple pie down, but not the stuffing. She made Placek and homemade donuts that I still can't duplicate
My cooking triumphs
chicken marinated for the grill, chicken cordon blue, my stuffed peppers are awesome, not many people know to add fried onions and rice to the hamburger., chimichangas, mexican rice, pierogi, golembki

Nana's Barbeque Sauce
Fantastic bbq sauce. So very easy to make. This recipe as is can handle anyones taste buds. Next time I would like to try bacon bits or fried bacon pieces while its cooking for a smokey flavor. The only thing I changed was I added a few drops of hot sauce. Allison TYVM for this recipe, my hubby and kids loved it.

Creamy Macaroni and Cheese
This is the creamiest mac and cheese. It has a real nice sharp cheese bite at the end and my husband didn't care for that so the next day I added about 1 1/2 c. of mozz and topped it with seasoned bread crumbs, heated it in the oven and it was awesome. We all loved it. I won't be looking for another recipe. This is it !!!

Shredded Beef Chimichangas
This is an absolutely fantastic recipe!!! I've made it twice and everyone loves it. The only suggestion my hubby had was putting the shredded cheese with the meat mixture. So the second time I doubled the amount of cheese and put a generous portion on the meat mixture, as well as on the top. It was a big hit !!!
