Glazed Cinnamon Biscuits
My family has been making our version of these for years , so often that we can have a batch oven ready in 10 minutes. I have never had my cinnamon & sugar fall out after rolling . I suspect you either don't brush on enough butter before the sugar mix , or they aren't rolled tightly enough . Chilling the dough helps with slicing , & might help you keep the sugar on. I always use self rising flour (no extra baking powder here) , add extra milk if needed to get the consistency I want . And folks, like others say, THESE ARE BISCUITS ....they are not supposed to be like cinnamon rolls ! You can skip the filling & glaze & you will have biscuits! If you don't like biscuits , you will not like these, don't bother. All this has me wondering what else I might put in there ....butter & strawberry jam ?....diced ham & cheese?...cream cheese & jalapenos?

Virginia Apple Pudding
my family calls this cobbler . For generations it's been one of the first recipes our girls learn to make. We use the same amt. of butter , no matter what size pan , then merely increase everything else in even increments , for different pan sizes . I use self rising flour & skip the baking powder & salt . It works with any fruit , fresh, frozen or canned and the only ones that need precooked are those like apples that won't get done in the allotted baking time . As for seasoning , use whatever's appropriate for the fruit you're using , same goes for sweetening the fruit itself ...none for canned , your preference for the fresh . Once you figure out your own spin on this recipe , its virtually fool proof !

Ramen Cabbage Salad
Oh my , how can something so simple taste so good ? I used sliced almonds instead of sunflower seeds and red wine vinegar (per a friend's suggestion)instead of white . After tasting it , several times , lol , I added a small can of mandarin oranges . Now I know what my dish for Saturday's family picnic will be . Don't hesitate (like I did ) to try this dish , its delicious !
