Honey-Orange Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2009
This was very yummy. Somenone blessed us with sliced ham. I threw everything in a sauce pan, cut up the ham slices and tossed everything together. Served it on brown and serve buns. I did end up adding 3tb orange juice instead of two on the count of my honey. I use a very strong honey. Over all, this is a keeper. Thank you !

Tomato Basil Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2009
I reallly loved this recipe. It was the feta that did it for me. It added just the right flavor. The only thing I did different was add romano. I didn't have parmesan cheese on hand. Thank you for such a great recipe

Potato Leek Soup III

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2009
This was a very tasty soup. I didn't have enough chicken stock so I used a little white wine to make up what was short. I did add a little onion powder as well. I think next time I will thicken it a little more, (personal taste). Thank you for this recipe.

Lamb and Winter Vegetable Stew

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2008
I was so surprised by this recipe. I rememer when my parents would cook squash when I was a kid and the smell alone would bring on nausea. But I felt a leading to this and decided to try. I am sooooooo glad I did. I can't believe how good this is. Even my husband, who thinks he hates squash, liked it. I didn't have celery, so I added carrots and used celery salt in place of the salt. The only things I will do differently the next time I make this, is add more meat for my "I'm a man, I need meat" husband and shorten the cooking time after I add the veggies. Thank you for a wonderful recipe.

Chocolate Sandwich Cookies II

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2008
Out of 5 kids, only one thought that this was good. I must say, I didn't care for these either. One didn't like the cookie. The others didn't like the filling with the cookie. I'll give it three stars because I can use the filling for another recipe. By the reviews, I do think this is a good recipe, just not for my famliy.

Rotini and Salami Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2008
This was really good. We used summer sausage because bulk salami is very expensive. I did grate about 10 oz. of the summer sausage with a cheese grater instead of chunking it, (personal preference). I used only one jar of sauce, for fear it would have been too soupy. I don't think you get 16 servings out of it but it is a very quick and easy meal. I would have given five stars for flavor but when you add everything up, it was still a little expensive.

Chipotle Turkey Breast Club Sandwich

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2008
This was sooo yummy! I can't remember the last time I had a sandwich this good and filling at the same time. We took a turkey breast, boiled it with onion salt and garlic powder until it fell off the bone. Took some club rolls split them just enough to lay them flat. Toasted them under the broiler for five minutes. Then we placed some turkey, a slice of swiss and put them back under the broiler until cheese was melted. Then a slice of bacon, lettuce, and roasted red peppers. The chipotle sauce we used mayo, chipotle marinade (that's what we had on hand) and a tiny bit of chilli powder. I really did feel like I had ordered the sandwich from a menu. It was wonderful! Served this with Old Fashioned Potato Salad also from this site.

Lemon Cream Pasta with Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2008
This was a really nice change. The flavors really came together in this dish. My family gobbled this up with no problem. I did add a little more lemon (personal preference)but other than that, nothing else changed. It's one of my favs. Thank you.

Old Fashioned Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2008
We loved this potato salad. We did leave the skins on the potatoes and tossed them with a little red wine vinegar while they were still warm. Cut the relish in half and added bacon instead of celery. I was worried that if it didn't get finished I would find it in a pool of water the next morning. Both my husband and I like it served warm but we've had it cold and it was just as yummy. Thank you for such a really easy recipe.

Beefy Cheesy Pasta

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2008
I can't speak for the rest for everyone but sometimes we have to watch our pennies and this seems like a good recipe for that. However, I did choose to make a sauce and then added it to the pasta/meat mixture. I didn't add anything in except what the recipe said too. All in all it was pretty good. Kids didn't complain and hubby like it too. Though I did find that the little we had left over didn't keep well in the fridge. It didn't taste like it did when I first made it. Other than that, I will make it again. Just not in the amount I did before.

Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad

I decide I would try this for lunch and made it a day ahead. It didn't make it that far. My kids who are usually soooo picky and won't ant anything, went after this like ravaging wolves. I made it just as is with exception of the olives. Needless to say I'll be making this again.

MMMMM... Brownies

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2007
We've been making these for a few weeks now and I will never go back to box. We doubled the recipe and added a 24 oz. bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips. It is about a cup more than needed but well worth it. Buttered a 9x13 pan and baked for the same amount of time. They always come out with the top flakey with just a tad of crisp. There's no hard, over baked sides with these brownies either. Just moist and fudgy. perfect for that tie you over snack. Thanks for the recipe!

Goat Cheese and Spinach Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2007
I like my burgers to be burgers, not meatloaf on a bun. These were just perfect. I did add feta cheese along with the goat cheese and salt and fresh ground pepper. Used a Foreman type grill to cook. The kids and I just loved these. Next time I will try with a spicy dressing.

This was too good! Followed the recipe and couldn't have been better. The only neg I have is the next day sauce tends to be a little runny. However if does not effect the taste. Yum, this is one of our favs now. Thanks for the recipe.

Breaded Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2007
This was really good. I doubled the recipe and added sliced potatoes boiled for 6 minutes for one half of sprouts. Then tossed everything together in butter, then tossed with breading. I loved the way it turned out with exception of the taste of the sprouts the next day. I will make this again.

Actually Delicious Turkey Burgers

My family loved this recipe. Threw everything together and used ice cream scoop to divide. Cooked them on a Foreman type grill and it worked out perfectly. Made nice sized burgers, this one's a keeper.
