About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I love doing meals for dinner parties or doing an evening of appetizers.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Watching my Grandma make wonderful Midwestern (and fattening) dinners for the whole family. She was always in the kitchen doing dinners or making the most amazing desserts I have ever tasted!
My cooking triumphs
A first time chocolate souffle for company. I was so worried it would fall and be literally a flop but it wasn't. Another was a trial and error Bailey's mousse recipe and a sausage and pesto stuffed chicken recipe (that was a first date meal I made for my husband of 10 years - it won him over!)

Bread Pudding with Whiskey Sauce III
What just puts this recipe over the top is the whiskey sauce that you put on top. I could just have a cup of that! Easy recipe. I make it with all my old french bread.

Chicken Paprikash II
I wouldn't change a thing. If you make as is I think you have a real comfort food winner. I serve over pasta for those extra carbs.

Butterscotch Cookie Bars
I love the combo of easy and tasty! I am not a raisin fan so I didn't even think to add them. Instead I added 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips and 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (instead of the 1 c. all chocolate). Great combo. I might try it with nuts too but it was great as is.
