Oatmeal Baked Chicken

I thought it was pretty good but I think I will grind up the oatmeal next time. My kids didn't want to eat it because they could "see" the oatmeal.

Seafood Chowder

I changed this recipe up a bit since I used what I had on hand. I didn't use any of the fat-free items and just used regular ol' block of cream cheese and 2% milk. I had a bag of frozen seafood mix that happened to be calamari, shrimp, etc.... So, I used that on top of the canned clams (which I used 2 of) and some extra shrimp that I had. I precooked the potatoes (I used red) and it was probably close to 2 cups. I also added more pepper and OLD BAY seasoning. I think without the flavoring it would be pretty bland. I took the advice of adding the corn later, too.

Dutch Apple Pie

I'm not a very good pie crust maker so I always use this as my apple pie. I, too, add extra cinnamon to my filling and a little bit of vanilla.

Texas Pork Ribs

This is one of the best recipes. I don't use the "sauce" part but just do the rub the night before and bake. When it comes time to bbq them we just use whatever bottle we have on hand. But these are so good and melt in your mouth.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

I've been using this recipes for quite a few years now and it's the only one I use now. I get a ton of requests for the recipe but I never give it up and I know that people will be excited to see me walk in with a platter of these.

Mou Shu Pork Wraps

I had some pork chops that were cooked the night before that needed to be used so I made something based on this recipe. I started with the onion, garlic, and ginger (which I used about 2 TBSP. of the kind in the tube). Then I added the pork (since it was already cooked). I added pepper (I only had green), the mushrooms, and I didn't have bok choy so I used bamboo shoots from the can. Cooked all of that until heated. THEN, I considered it done. I didn't add any of the sauce ingredients. INSTEAD, I put the filling on a tortilla then topped it with plum sauce. I thought it was pretty good this way and my kids actually ate it.
