About this Cook
I am a 65 year old Mother and Grandmother and Great Grandmother. I used to cook a lot, as I raised 5 children. I now have 17 grandchildren ranging in age from 4 to 24. We always get together for the holidays, and there is a lot of cooking done then.
My favorite things to cook
I especially like to bake, but I like to try almost any new recipe.
My favorite family cooking traditions
For the holidays, we always have stuffed mushrooms. I am told this is a must, this is just our family tradition, and has been for 20 years or more. Then of course, we have Turkey, ham, and lots of goodies. We like to have lots of cookies, and fudge. I also make many of my potato coffee cakes to give as gifts. Every one loves them. My recipe for Old Fashioned Sugar Cream Pie is also a must, along with Pumpkin pie, and we also make some new varieties each year to try.

Three Bean Salad
I love this one! I added a can of lima beans to it and made it 4 bean salad. Very good, and simple.

Pea Salad I
This was very good. I didn't have any lettuce, so didn't add that, but still yummy. I did add more bacon.

Yum-Yum Corn
Lives up to it's name---Yum Yum---Another dish I took to a picnic, and it is also very simple. The only way we eat corn has been fried, but we will try this one again!
