Apple Pie by Grandma Ople
This recipe was every bit as good as I thought it would be.
I took a few suggestions and added a bit of cinnamon and vanilla to the syrup. I did mix everything with the apples, but next time, I will take the time to make the lattice crust and pour the syrup over the top.
I also used TJ's French Pie Pastry for the crust. You can't go wrong with this recipe either.
I also need to do a better job in securing my edges as a lot of the syrup leaked out. Fortunately, I had the pie plate on a cookie sheet to catch the spills.
Great pie and I will definitely make this again.
