About this Cook
I'm a certified Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy Assistant. I recently moved and am trying to persue my career here in London. I don't get much opportunity to cook at the moment, but I love to browse recipes to get new ideas.
My favorite things to cook
~Chicken marinated in a white wine and portebello mushroom sauce ~Various pasta dishes ~Quickbreads such as banana loaves, zucchini walnut bread, and lemon poppyseed loaf ~The more I cook the more I'm willing to try new things.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My Grandmother used to make a delicious banana cake with white icing every time a birthday rolled around. It was great.
My cooking triumphs
I made Stuffed Strawberries (recipe found here on www.allrecipes.com) Everybody was talking about them!!! They were a hit!!
My cooking tragedies
I'm having problems with pie crusts. They seem to crumble.

Jenn's Out Of This World Spaghetti and Meatballs
So I made the recipe as is and I give it a 4 only because 1/2 c sugar is too sweet. That being said I love the recipe and will be making it again with a few changes. I understand where youre coming from in terms of the rating, but I have to tell you I appreciate the suggestions.

Best Fried Green Tomatoes
Well this was my first time making Fried Green Tomatoes and I have to say I was impressed! Well written instructions. I followed the recipe exactly using Italian bread crumbs (what I had on hand) a cast iron skillet for frying. I ate these with a bowl of chilli and enjoyed a nice cold beer! Will definitely makes these again! Ohhh.....and if you haven't seen the movie you should watch it.....FANTASTIC!!!!

Orange Glaze I
Not bad. I didn't have Frozen Juice Concentrate on hand so I used 3 TBSP orange juice like others suggested. I also added about a 1/2 tsp almond extract and used the glaze for scones. They turned out great!!! Will definitely make again
