About this Cook
I'm 32, live with my husband and our zoo (we have 12 animals that share our house with us, all of them indoors). We love to eat and cook, but I'm better at both ;) I'm an art school student and a SAHW. I work and attend school out of my home. I don't get out much but the dogs love having me home because it means we get to play ball every few hours. Lately I've been documenting my triumphs and experiments at http://cooking4two.net - Come by and say hi, I'd love to hear from you! :)
My favorite things to cook
I love Middle Eastern Indian cuisine and am having a ball teaching myself. I also have a mean sweet tooth. Here lately I've been making a switch to vegetarian cooking and living. I love altering recipes to make them healthier and pared down for two. It's like a game to me and I have so much fun.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every year my mother, myself and my sister all get together around the winter holidays and make piles and piles of cookies with real butter and plenty of sugar and white four. They're horrible for us and we each end up taking about 6 dozen cookies home with us at the end of the day. We have a lot of fun when we're not tearing each others' heads off :)

About 500 failed attempts at low sugar, low fat cookies.

Best Burgers Ever
I've just realized the fatal flaw in this recipe. For some reason allrecipes.com listed the ingredient as '1 tablespoon' of egg. It should be 1 egg!

Addictive Sweet Potato Burritos
I only made two alterations. I scaled the recipe down to 4 servings and added 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon. The beans and potatoes were great wrapped up in a whole grain tortilla. Thanks for sharing!

Lamb Chops with Balsamic Reduction
This was amazing. I had to make a few changes to suit the ingredients I had on hand. I used red wine vinegar instead of balsamic, one orange instead of two and boneless leg of lamb steaks. Fabulous! This was part of the Valentine's Day dinner I cooked my husband. He didn't even miss the sex!
