About this Cook
I am a mother of teenage twins!! And my big wonderful husband keeps me grounded. I am currently in nursing school and work full time and part time to help keep me suitably nuts.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake but cannot eat alot of what I bake due to having gastric bypass a couple years ago and I can't tolerate sugar well. I also love to make big hearty meals but hate the dishes it creates. haha
My favorite family cooking traditions
There are certain foods that just mean a holiday to me. My grandmother makes a Pink Salad that is so easy but is such an important part of our tradition. I also make all my kids birthday cakes.
My cooking triumphs
Making kids cakes, creating new recipes that my kids and family love, learning to cook meat well so that it is tender and juicy but not too done.
My cooking tragedies
Non jelling jam. Made great pancake syrup but wasnt my finest hour.
