About this Cook
I am a happily married 34 year old.Currently, we only have a furry child named Bosley. Cooking is one of my greatest hobbies. Professionaly, I am a hairdresser/color specialist/salon owner. Forutnately, I have a lot of time to perfect my cooking skills. I love to try new recipes.
My favorite things to cook
Italian has to be the thing I cook most often as my husband is Italian. However, I will try most anything from Mexican, to Asian Cuisine, and anything in between.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite cooking traditions must be our annual Bosivert Christmas Party. With about 3 days of straight cooking/baking we have a fantastic feast of heavy appetizers. Everyone looks forward to celebrating the Holidays with wonderful friends.
My cooking triumphs
Being a true southern girl, I grew up eating everything "fried"! With a little help from my husband and my absolute favorite recipe site: Allrecipes....I have come a long way baby:)I have been a member since 2002!
My cooking tragedies
Well, I must say, the only thing I haven't perfected yet are scallops. I always over cook them so I let my husband take over the kitchen when we have those!!!

BREAKSTONE'S Sour Cream Scalloped Potatoes
I made these for Easter. These were fantastic. I substituted cubed cheese for cheddar cheese soup, added some bacon, and added half & half. Left the ham out b/c we had a whole ham. Everyone loved them. Par boiling the potatoes definitely helps them along in the cooking process!

Allison's Pasta Salad
This is my "go to" recipe for entertaining. Instead of bowtie pasta, I use fresh cheese filled tortellini....It's just fabulous. Everyone always asks for the recipe!
