Mom's Apple Pie I
This pie was way too tart for our tastes. Other than that the flavor was good and the whiskey was a nice addition. In the future I will not use tart apples or will add more sugar.

Mexican Rice II
I happened to have all the items on hand for this recipe and decided to try it. I was pleasantly surprised! This is even better (more flavorful) than many mexican restaurants here in Texas. Very savory, not too spicy. Also quick and easy!

German Red Cabbage
This was really good. Just the right amount of spice. Tastes just like you'd get in a good German restaurant. My husband is from Germany and he enjoyed it too. (needs just a bit of salt for our tastes but that can be put on after cooking) Just be sure to use a large enough pot, cabbage seems to expand when you slice it up!
