About this Cook
My cooking triumphs
I consider some of my accomplishments to be the many successful parties I've hosted or informally catered; in particular, my step-sister's wedding reception.
My cooking tragedies
The summer in high school where I wasted many dozens of eggs trying to make perfectly hard-boiled eggs for deviled eggs.

Rice with Almonds and Raisins
I leave out the raisins because I don't like them. This dish has loads of flavor even though it seems so simple. I make it in the rice cooker.

Cheesy Polenta
this is super delicious. I use more cheese (because this is Wisconsin, after all, the dairy state!) I have instant polenta, which only takes about 5 minutes to cook, so it's super quick.

Easy Olive Martini Chicken
I've made this three times and really enjoyed it. I double the sauce and thicken it with a bit of cornstarch & chicken stock. I still feel like it's missing something, seems a bit like a 'single note' of flavor. No idea what I would add though.
