Slow Cooker Rosemary and Red Pepper Chicken

this could be good with modifications. i don't have the time to deal with that though.no one ate it but me. it was very dry and the flavor was on the bland side. it really lacked something but i can't put my finger on it. maybe tomatoes and a little shredded parm.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

i am going against the rest here, but i found this to be rather bland. we do not normally consume msg(autolyzed yeast extract) but maybe once a year. for this recipe it is unavoidable. it lookes so good i decided to do it. i did not tell my family it was in there. NO ONE liked it. and my daughter 9 year old could tell instantly msg was in it!i cooked it exactly as written. i have experience as well. i went against my better judgement again by putting all the biscuits in. i gave it 2 stars for ease and potential. i suggest baking the biscuits then serving chicken on top. sorry not for us :(

Pizza Without the Red Sauce

i'm giving this 4 stars because i believe had i done it right it would've been excellent. i left out the pesto then followed directions. i would use more parm next time and use tomato basil feta as well. i may even put some mozzerella on there too. it just wasn't salty enough for me. i also don't recommend using fresh jalepenos as they are not as hot. they are good if you are looking for that super fresh taste.

Asian Chicken Noodle Salad

best salad ever. i made some adjustments though. in the dressing i used half the rice vinegar and i also used o.j instead of lemon. i used pumpkin seeds with the pine nuts cause that was all i had. i also seasoned the chicken with some dragon rub and cooked it fresh. you could get away with not using the noodles and using less sugar in the dressing. i also used bamboo shoots and sugar snap peas instead of snow peas. the flavors just went beautifully together. even my kids liked it!

The Best Chicken Soup Ever

no offense but any chicken soup will taste good with the amount of msg in this recipe. i would like to see the results with a completely msg free base. i will rate again with that review for those who are sensitive to all forms of it....autolyzed yeast extract,yeast extract, maltodextrin, torula yeast, msg, etc.

Creamy Artichoke Pasta

i was excited to try this. i thought it smelled bad cooking it. the taste was even worse. i made the recipe as is and have quite a bit of experience cooking. i went over it to see if i had done something wrong...no. my entire family did not care for it (6). too sour from the marinate to the sour cream. it might taste better minus the sour cream and cottage cheese, but that would be a whole different dish!

We enjoy this recipe. It does seem to be missing something. Quinoa is so good so you can't go wrong with this one. Great recipe for making alterations to your taste.

Portobello Penne Pasta Casserole

I was worried about this one. It turned out good though! The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because all 3 of my kids hated it. My husband and I enjoyed it enough to keep the leftovers. I made the recipe exactly as written.

Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken

Let me start by saying that I hate breaded chicken. I decided to give this a try because I was pressed for time. We only eat chicken/ fish/veggies/grains and sometimes it gets boring. I was completely amazed that this was so good! I used a little more garlic, seasoned bread crumbs, and a dash of italian seasoning and season salt. I also used a softer parmesan cheese that made all the difference. Chicken was juicy and full of flavor. By the way, organic chicken will always taste better! Those in doubt..it is a keeper!

Barley and Mushrooms with Beans

I'm only giving this 4 stars because it you can work with it otherwise it would get a 3. I doubled the barley which for me was a mistake. It was very bland. I would also omit the beans unless you really want them! I also left out the celery because of allergy. This may have changed the taste a bit. You can get creative with this and try the red peppers etc.

Grilled Chicken and Angel Hair Pasta

I found this recipe to be bland. My kids hated it. It needs salt. My dish turned out mushy. Pasta stayed in tact but dish was oily. My advice is to season the chicken well, use less pesto, and try penne instead.

Chili Chicken Stew

I wasn't too sure this would be very flavorful, but gave it a try anyway. YUMMY! I made a few adjustments that I highly recommend if you enjoy a good amount of flavor. I fried the chicken in light fajita seasoning and fresh garlic. I used only green beans and corn. I used regular ro tel. I also fried some fresh garlic with the onions and pepper and used a TBS of chili powder. Even better if you shred some jalepeno jack on top. BOTH my children 5 and 2 ate this!!! THEY ATE ALL THE VEGGIES! Trust me...a must have recipe for any family! Thank you for sharing!

Spicy Indian Chicken Curry Yummy

I love Indian food. I did not like this recipe. I would like to think I messed up the ingredients. I am an excellent cook and this is an easy recipe. I found it to be too sweet. I used minimal red pepper (kids)and ground coriander. I also had no cardamom. I think this could have made a difference. Even though, I still think this recipe is lacking something.

Cinnamon Pancakes in a Jar

These are by far the best pancakes I've ever made! These are the fluffiest, just so good! I plan on giving them as gifts for Christmas in crafty jars. I put 5 tsp. of cinnamon instead of 4. You might want to use a full cup of milk as suggested. If not, they may not cook as well due to the fact that they are so fluffy! Make these up and your family will love you for it!

Sour Cream Chicken Paprika

I'm rating this dish again because so many people feel the need to change it. I agree that it does seem a little bland. I promise you all....replace 1 Tbs with Emeril's Essence Original. This is the only change I needed to perk up the flavor without changing the overall taste of the dish. The sauce is not meant to be a gravy it is more of a sauce. It also thickens upon standing. I use brown rice. I have 2 VERY picky kids. I mean it PICKY!!! They will eat this any day of the week, probably even for breakfast! OOPS FORGOT....ALSO CHOP THE CHICKEN. IT DOES WONDERS FOR THE FLAVOR!

Applesauce French Toast

My family loved this recipe. I would never make french toast the old fashion way again. My 2 year hardly took a breath between bites! I used cinnamon applesauce because I had no cinnamon and used 1/2 a cup of milk. I had no mixture left. They were a LITTLE "soggy", but not enough to make a difference. This recipe is a great way to get your kids to eat whole wheat bread too. I also sprinkled some allspice on top. I would recommend this recipe.

Salsafied Chicken and Rice

So Yummy! Relatively quick to make. The longest part of it is frying the chicken. It tastes great, but even I like a little less cheese. The flavor is great and I love it. I make it once a week I like it so much! Thank you to whoever submitted this one!

White Chili

We love this recipe. It is just bursting with flavor. I hate beans, but you'll see me eat more than 1 bowl of this. It is a little on the spicy side with the jalepeno cheese (and I love spicy!) You may want to serve on top of rice if you're doing the dinner thing. Very quick and easy to make. Perfrect if you have little kids and little time!
