About this Cook
I have the top two taste testers in the state of Missouri living in my house, my kids. I love to cook and my kids give me the yay and nay on recipe keepers. We have created our own cookbook of favorites so that they will have a good start of recipes when they grow up and are on their own.
My favorite things to cook
We love to cook chinese food. It is very time consuming so it makes great family time together. My kids favorite part of it is making the crab rangoons, of course the best part is licking the cream cheese mixture off of their fingers :o)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Our favorite tradition is Christmas Eve dinner at our house. We cook crab legs and loaded baked potatoes every year on Christmas Eve. We have crab leg shells and butter from floor to ceiling after it's all said and done, but no other meal gives us that many giggles and smiles like this one.
My cooking triumphs
What? All of them are triumphs !
My cooking tragedies
Fortunatly, I have not yet had a tragedy....yet....I'm sure my day will come though.

Grilled Bacon Jalapeno Wraps
We made these for a BBQ and they were loved by everyone. We used 2 packages of cream cheese and 1 package of dry ranch mix. Mmmmm very good. We made a bunch of them to freeze. Instead of cutting them in half we just cut the top off and removed all the seed and membrane. If you have never messed with jalepanos before be careful they will burn your hands. I did not know this and ended up with severe burns so don't forget your gloves !!

Chicken and Corn Chili
We did not like this as written. After we doctored it up with a couple quarts of canned tomatoes and a whole lot more chili powder it turned out a lot better.
