About this Cook
Newly married and continuing to increase my cooking tastes for foods that both my husband and I like. We're are probably the pickiest people you'll meet, which is why cooking is so important. We can customize recipes and make things to our liking. It's good stuff!
My favorite things to cook
Cookies, I love cookies! Oh, and Pies; I'm looking for he perfect recipe of cherry pie, like they sell back home at the local bakery.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love to make my husband clone of a cinnabon's and wake him up on his birthday with them.
My cooking triumphs
Taste is easy, I'm working on making things look professionally made, with different toppings and garnishings.
My cooking tragedies
When I was about 9 I wanted to make snickerdoodles. My mom never taught me to cook so I was on my own. Well I did everything right except.... I used Salt instead of Sugar. In my defense they do look the same and the containers weren't labeled and it's not normal to have a big container of salt. So needless to say that was quite tragic.

Blonde Brownies I
I made this recipe the first time 3 weeks ago and since have made it at least 9 times, they're now my husbands and my favorite! I used margarine instead on butter with no problems and I didn't add all the chocolate chips, i used a little more than 1/2 cup. These come out with a crunchy top but chewy insides. This is now my brownie recipe of choice.

Blueberry Cheesecake Ice Cream
WOW, this recipe is AMAZING!!! I put the graham cracker crust on a cookie sheet with a thinkness of 1/2 a centimeter. The ice cream batter I let chill for 2 hours before putting in my ice cream maker. When combining the topping, crust, and ice cream at the end I put 1/4 of the ice cream batter first then topped with 1/2 graham cracker crust then another 1/4 batter then blueberry topping and then another 1/4ice cream and the rest of graham cracker crust then folded the layers over themselves. This was an amazing ice cream, the blueberry wasn't overwhelming so double the blueberry topping if you want a more dominate blueberry flavoring. Very good all in all, this has become a family favorite overnight. I think next time I'll try this with strawberries instead.

Best Brownies
Really moist and not cakey. I read other reviews about not over mixing and put the dry ingredients in my mixer first then the wet ingredients on top and mixed for no more than 2 minutes, stoping halfway to scrap the sides and bottom with a spatula. Also I didn't use dry cocoa, I melted 1/3 cup semi-sweet ghiraddelli chocolate chips in the microwave for thirty seconds at a time until they were creamy. Alot of recipes I've tried are to rich and cakey, this is my go to brownie recipe from now on.
