This was a good base recipe. The texture is right on but the taste was a very . I think using some of the spices listed in greater quanitity would make these pancakes outstanding. Definitely going to give these another go with some revisions.

Delicious and super easy. I halved the recipe, used mini semi-sweet chips, and hazelnuts.

Key West Penne

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2009
This is soooo delicious. I've had something similar to this at a restaurant and haven't been able to duplicate it until now. I changed a few things just because of what I had on hand. I used marinated artichokes, drained and chopped, sundried tomatoes without the oil, julienned, half of a large onion finely chopped, two cloves of garlic, some cream sherry, fat free half and half and cornstarch, some crushed red pepper and a little bit of pasta water to thicken the sauce a bit. It was out of this world. Can't wait to have it again.

Really awesome and so simple. I used it for a chicken pot pie and it came out flaky, buttery and perfectly golden. Thanks so much for the recipe.

Bananas 'N' Cream Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2009
Super delicious! I made this with butter instead and half brown half white sugar. I also used low fat sour cream and didn't add the nuts. I topped it with a simple powdered sugar glaze. My kids loved it and requested it as their next birthday cake. Thanks for the recipe.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2009
This rating is solely based on the sauce. I have to say this is one of THE best sauces I have ever tasted. I doubled the recipe and used one can of crushed tomatoes and think I'll use all crushed tomatoes next time. I followed the recipe to the letter except for adding a bit of fresh basil because I ran out of dried. I will definitely use this instead of jarred from now on. Thanks so much for the recipe!

Slow Cooker Beef Roast

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2009
Wow this is awesome and super simple. I made some modifications. I pan seared the meat first, used half a bottle of dark beer instead of worcestershire sauce, and omitted the celery. It was the best roast ever. Next time I'll add even more onions as they tasted like french onion soup onions, yum!

Curried Coconut Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2009
This is the best curry recipe I've tried on this site to date. Only thing I changed was using a little marinara sauce in place of the tomato sauce because I didn't have any. (I know this isn't the best substitute, but it came out delicious.)I will be making this again in the very near future.

This was awesome. Super easy, simple and not too many ingredients. Only changes I made were to add a little bit of cumin, cayenne pepper and crushed red pepper because we like thoses flavors in our chili. This will be my go to recipe for chili from now on. Thanks!

Wow this bread is awesome. Dense, sweet, and delicious. A perfect accompainment to chili. The only changes I made were to cut the butter by a tbls or so and used milk and lemon juice for the buttermilk. This is a definite keeper. Thanks so much.

Buttermilk Pancakes II

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2009
I've made a lot of homemade pancakes and these by far are the best. They are light, fluffy and just have an overall awesome texture. I didn't have buttermilk on hand so I just used vinegar and milk and worked out perfectly. The only thing that I found was that the liquid/dry ingredients ratio was a bit off. I had about 1/4 c extra liquid, but no biggie. Thanks so much for this recipe. It will definitely be my go to recipe for all pancakes I make.

Cinnamon Swirl Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2009
Really awesome and with so little ingredients. I made a little extra topping (used half brown sugar and half white) and swirled a little raspberry preserves through the middle. This was super moist and delicious and I love how it didn't require butter to make an awesome crumb swirl. I did have to cook it a bit longer than stated probably because I used a glass loaf pan. This will definitely be my go to cinnamon bread. Thanks.
