Home-Style Scalloped Potatoes
This was just what I was looking for: simple, classic scalloped potatoes. I made this exactly as written and it was perfect. The sauce thickened beautifully with 1% milk (no need to reduce the amount of milk or add more thickener). I sliced my potatoes on the slicer part of my cheese grater, so they were nice and thin and they were fully cooked in 60 minutes (no need to parboil). Yes, there is lots of room to play with the recipe by adding cheese, garlic, ham, herbs, etc.--and I'm sure those variations are yummy--but it is also wonderful exactly as it is. I suggest trying this recipe as written first before making changes.

Sand Art Brownies
These didn't work for me. They came out very, very heavy.

Creamy Slow Cooker Potato Cheese Soup
Delicious comfort food. Ours turned out too thick, so we added extra milk to make it soup onsistency. It's more prep work than I usually think of for a crockpot meal, but it's worth the effort.
