Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

I am not big on pumpkin breads, or pumpkin anything for that matter, but when my 19 year old niece came down and wanted to take it home with her( I let her too) it had to be good. (Very, very picky eater). She said she doesn't like vegetables and she ate almost the whole loaf herself. That s a compliment. So, one her display of enthusiasm on the bread, it definately gets 5 stars. Thanks for the recipe.

Country Apple Dumplings

Made this recipe this morning. Yummy. Except for using Honeycrisp apples, I followed the recipe to a "T" . These were very good, and easy. I will definately make these again. Thanks for the recipe.

St. Louis Toasted Ravioli

This is a really easy, good recipe. My husband (very picky) really liked them. I had to get him to help me with them because of a review of someone else,(thank you) I double dipped the ravioli before frying. That took some time, but then the little devils cooked really fast and I had trouble dipping, cooking and sprinkling cheese when they were done. So my husband helped fry them and sprinkle cheese. I followed the recipe to the letter this time but next time I might add a little garlic powder or basil to the bread crumbs. I have even thought about using Panko...we will see. Thank you for a wonderful recipe.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

I made this for a race party and nobody would eat it. No one ate hot peppers. I took the dish to work and heated it up and everyone liked it. I had a co-worker take the rest home. I did use fresh parmesan cheese and the smell almost chased us out of the break room at work but it was good and not too hot. I misread the directions at first and thought it asked for 2-4oz.cans of jalapenos and I had poured one can in. When I re-read the instructions it said a 2oz.can so I picked half of them out. I think 1 can of 4 oz. jalapenos would be fine. Anyway, to make a long story short, thanks for the recipe. It is very good and easy.

Supreme Strawberry Topping

After reading the recipe and then the reviews, I figured it out, I tried the recipe to the "T" at first with the vanilla. I did taste it before I put the vanilla in and I have to agree with some of the other reviewers that it is "Fresher" without the vanilla. It is in the refrigerator now and I will taste it again after it is cold. Thanks for the recipe. It is for a cheesecake.

Simple BBQ Ribs

Tried this recipe today, and might I say,"DELICIOUS!!!" I was going to make my own BBQ sauce, but we love Sweet Baby Ray's so much I just used that. It was simple and delicious. Thanks for the recipe.

Triple-Cheese Macaroni

Made this today. All I could taste was the Velveeta. Yuk. I really was looking forward to this recipe. It makes a whole lot. I really hate giving bad reviews,and if you like Velveeta, you will love this, but Velveeta is a cheese "food". Thanks anyway, but I will keep looking. I will keep looking, thanks anyway.

Marinated Grilled Shrimp

We had never cooked shrimp before. We were nervous. We tried half the shrimp this way and half with just butter and garlic powder. Guess which one won? Hands down, easy and tastes great. Thanks for the recipe.

Joy's Prizewinning Trifle

I made this recipe for a party tonight. It was a success. I made it for a cookout this past weekend and it was not eaten. The first time I made it with yellow cake mix. I don't think I put enough berries in it. Also the guys wouldn't touch berries. The trifle I made tonight had angel food cake and I used more berries and bananas and pineapple chunks. I also used Cheesecake pudding with 1 cup of milk like others suggested and without it, I would not have had enough filling. I also did not use kiwi. I used blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, bananas and canned pineapple. Do soak your bananas with the pineapple juice. This is kind of of expensive to make this time of year with the berries, but very good. Thanks for the recipe.

Juicy Roasted Chicken

This was the basis for my first roasted Chicken. Good recipe. I did use lemon and onion and Rosemary seasoning on it. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because I didn't follow the recipe to the "T" the first time.

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

I made these for my husband tonight. He loves mushrooms but not new recipes. He is on his second helping of these. I myself don't really like mushrooms but decided to try one. They are good. I did follow the recipe to a "T" for the first time. Tasted good to me!! Thanks for the recipe.

Chicken and Bowtie Pasta with Asiago Cream Sauce

I made this today without the mushrooms. I also used bacon. I thought this had wonderful flavor, but I thought that it could use more sauce. It also made a huge amount. I agree with other people when when they say that it makes for a lot of dishes to wash. Thanks for the recipe.

Amish White Bread

Other than Foccacia bread, this is the first bread I have ever made. I did it by hand and thought that it was not going to turn out because I thought it was very sticky. I kept with it though and baked it. Glad I did. The first loaf didn't last an hour after my husband and step-son came home. That is how I know it was good. I didn't think I could make bread, this makes me think that I can make anything. Thanks for the wonderful recipe. I know I will be making this again.

Mom's Baked Beans II

I took these to a outing last night and they went over wonderful. A five star recipe. The only reason for the four star is that I used tomato sauce instead of tomatoes. Next time I might cut back on the brown sugar. I thought they were a little sweet, but others thought they were wonderful. Thanks for the recipe.

Pepperoni Bread

I used Pillsbury French bread to cut down on time, but followed the rest of the recipe to a "T". I thought it was a 3 star recipe, personally, but my step-son ate the rest of one(half) and asked me to make another and then ate half of that one. He really enjoyed it. I will give it a four star rating because of the easiness of the recipe, but I thought it was just o.k. Thanks for the recipe.
