Fuzzy Navel Slush

This was great---made it for our 4th of July party this past summer and had requests for it to be served at future parties. It is a little sweet in my opinion so you may only want one or two.

Mini Ham And Cheese Rolls

I made this recipe for a bridal shower. There wasn't any leftovers so that is a sign of a good recipe. I used the Hawaiian rolls from the deli section for this recipe. Yummy!

Microwave Spiced Nuts

I've made this many times...so easy and I've mixed up the spices using an apple pie spice or pumpkin pie spice. Excellent!

Cheese Dip with Beer

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2009
I just made the dip part of this recipe. I used a wheat beer and served it with sections of soft pretzels I bought in the freezer section. I also did it in the nuke and then put it in a small crock to keep it warm during the party. Great and easy recipe!

Ratatouille

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
This was interesting...I had never made Ratatouille before. I think I went a little overboard with the veggies, I got towards the end of my chopping and the 9x13 was piled pretty high. I also think that I may have baked this too long. It was a little on the mushy side too. It was a lot of chopping, but worth it.

Kim's Summer Corn Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
This was okay, but I didn't love it. It seemed to be similar to a corn salsa, but then mayo was added and it seemed a little odd, but it tasted okay.

Mexican Chicken Corn Chowder

My family loved this recipe. The only thing I changed was to use chicken stock instead of the boullion cube and I omitted the tomato. Excellent!

Grandma's Heavenly Onions

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
I made this as "something different" for Christmas this past year. It didn't go over very well because it didn't look that great, and I have so much to choose from at Christmas. It tasted pretty good--maybe a little salty and a little mushy, but good.

Slow Cooker Creamed Corn

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
I was hoping this recipe would be a slow-cooker version of our family's scalloped corn--but it's not. I guess because I was hoping for a different taste and texture, I wasn't very happy with the recipe. I would say that it's okay, but the old fashioned corn, crackers and eggs recipe is what we love.

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

This recipe is a welcome change to the typical pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving. I added crushed gingersnaps as a garnish on top of the whipped cream. This was very quick and easy recipe and my guests said they loved it.

Slow Cooker Stuffing

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2009
I make this every year at Thanksgiving. My family just LOVES it because it doesn't turn out mushy like most stuffing recipes. Because I am so busy on Turkey day I've started to do a "make ahead" version of this. The night before Thanksgiving I put the bread cubes into a huge mixing bowl then I brown up some pork sausage and throw it on top of the bread cubes. Then I melt the butter in the same fry pan and cook the onions, celery, mushrooms and parsley. I put that on top of the bread cubes and mix in all the spices and about a half cup of dried cranberries. I cover the bowl and keep it cold overnight. In the morning I grease the crock, chop up an apple and mix it in along with the eggs. I only use the chicken broth as needed, so it doesn't get too mushy. Then I put it in the crock on high for an hour and then turn it to low until lunch. Turns out perfect every time and I don't have to get up super early to cut up and saute the veggies. We do a deep-fried turkey, so is just a wonderful recipe for us.

Home Style Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2009
I wasn't as happy with this recipe as I thought I would be. I ended up with some hard and crunchy parts on top that were really dry and inedible. I think it needed a punch of something too. I think maybe some garlic might do the trick.

Autumn Apple Salad II

This was a good recipe for being healthy. My concern when I made the salad was that the apples would brown too quickly, so I made the salad an hour before serving and the apples were okay.

Sugar Coated Pecans

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2009
I made the recipe as it is printed an these were a hit at Christmas. Some reviewers are adding an extra egg white, but I felt as though the sugar got a little clumpy on some of the nuts, so I was thinking of adding less next time.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2008
Ecellent recipe-as stated in previous reviews, I sprayed both sides of each tortilla with PAM, cut them with a pizza cutter into wedges, then coated them with cinnamon by shaking them in a ziplock bag. I doubled the chip recipe, but not the salsa as most people would eat the chips without the salsa. My salsa got a little runny during the party, so I ended up straining out the liquid out (saved it for ice cream topping--mmm). I used kiwi, strawberries, gala apples and raspberries. I think I will try adding peaches next time I make it as suggested by other reviewers.

Peanut Butter Bars I

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2008
As the previous ratings and reviews stated...this is a really great recipe. My family loved these. I was making both lunch and supper for a fairly large group, so I went the easy route and purchsed grahm cracker crumbs instead of crunching them up myself. The recipe called for about a half cup less than the amount that came in the box, so I ended up just adding a little more of each of the crust ingrediants until it was the right consistancy. I put them in the fridge overnight, but let them sit out for 10 mins or so before I tried to cut them. They did not crumble at all and I was able to slice them pretty small (because they are very rich). Yummy!

Ham and Cheese Puffs

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2008
My family raved about these. I followed the recipe exactly and they turned out great. I thought I was going to have an issue getting them out of the pan, but with a little "coaxing" they popped out fairly well. Excellent recipe

Creamy Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2008
Very easy and tasty recipe. I fed a crowd yesterday so I used a 5 lb bag of potatoes, and doubled the other ingredients. I replaced the cream of potato soup with one can cream of mushroom and one can cream of celery. The last time I made this I had trouble getting the potatoes done, so I put them on high for 6 hours and they came out perfect.

Chicken Tortilla Soup I

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2007
My guests loved this soup, but I wasn't crazy about it--"too tomato-y". I think I will spice it up a little more next time and use a little more chicken. But I will definately make it again.
